Its not fancy but it does its job.
Careful brother. When temp and RH go above 70 you can easily get beetles.
I've removed one of the packs sense the photo. RH is down to 68.
getting the temp down is the biggest problem i have had.
any advice?
Well for me I keep my cooler in a room that never gets sun. It stays pretty cool. About 65. That helps a lot. But other than that unless your gonna cool the whole house there isn't much you can do. from what I have heard though it requires humidity and temp to be above 70 for beetles. So as long as the humidity is down you should be fine.

Perfect, thanks again. The shop's around me suck, they usually don't have boxes left. I'll try and track one down that does.
If you call some of the online guys, they may sell them. If you order something from Famous they may sell or give you some. Worth a

Wish I would have thought of that, maybe I can still get a hold of them before they ship out my order.

I can't believe your shops don't just give boxes away. I give every one of our empty boxes away for free. The ones left over go in the fire pit as they are excellent kindling!
Would it be worth it to you to sell me some kindlin? Rather sent something to a member then a shop if it helps.
I don't sell empty boxes I give them all away. The only problem is your in Cali and I'm in Alabama. I can't imagine how much it would cost to ship a bunch of boxes! Now the cedar sheets would be simple to ship.
Yeah just the sheets is all I need, maybe 3 or 4 of them.

Send me your address and I'll load you up.
PM sent, thanks for your help.

That's a nice looking cabinet.

Works well so far, and is very little maintenance. I've got a heartfelt small disc on the way, to attach to the top. I would like a large, thin, cedar sheet to wrap around the inside - something similar to the "sleeves" some cigars come wrapped in. Any ideas?

Most cigar boxes come with a thin cedar sheet between layers. Check your local B&M for one.

Hit another shop by my work today and had the same outcome, no cedar boxes left just cardboard ones. Thanks to fireman mike for helping me out.

I think I maybe taking the leap and building myself up a nice little coolidor. It feels like time.
It seems to be the most realistic, best thing to do. Especially if you invest in a little bit of Spanish cedar plywood and line it really nice. You've got a great product. I'll tell you though, I have a 48qt, and I should have gotten at least 3 times that size. Those shelves they sell on Amazon, If I could find a cooler that they fit in vertically, that'd be great.

Ya I need to sit down and really figure out what it is I am going to do. It's pretty exciting and after the wedding I want to make a couple of purchases so I am going to sit and contemplate lol.

@Rev. B. What are you using for humidification and did you have to prep the room with a special paint, wood, etc to stop mold or mildew from getting in the walls.

I'm already regretting the size of my tuperdor and I just bought it, I have a buying addiction.
Been there, brother... like a month ago. <grin>

I would go with the coolidor and keep the tupperdor, too. I am fortunate in that I am not looking to get a piece of furniture (even a nice desktop) to put on display, so the aesthetics are of a secondary (or even tertiary) nature. That is letting me build a decent humidor without destroying my budget.

I'm looking at some of the cigars you have in yours. It looks VERY happy. I made sure my better sticks were on top, hiding my cheaper ones before I took the pic. LOL
