  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

If we go with Navy Flake I'd do a 1.5lb box split with someone if they want bulk. I'm down if you're down. My willingness to buy bulk of course depends on the blend.

I like the idea of cheap. How about some Stokkebye Navy Flake? I don't have any and have not tried it so I'd be happy to order some.
i am deep on this one, and could easily help out anyone who ain't in the position.

also, spanky, escudo, check. o)
Just couldn't read, and move on could you.....

I'd be willing to do maybe half pound, or less. When I was doing RYO, Stokkebye was always in my cigarettes, can't be bad in the pipe right?

It's that time again! We're looking for suggestions for the BOTL July Pipe Tobacco of the Month!
  • Do you have something you've had your eye on, just looking for a reason to buy? Tell us now!
  • Got something you love and think everyone else should try? Speak up!
  • Do you like the sound of something someone else has proposed? We want to hear that, too!
Let's take suggestions over the next few days and put together a poll this weekend.
The poll will consist of choices between different tobacco styles/blends; Aromatic, Virginia, Latakia, Perique, Burley & Cavendish
The winning baccy from that poll will be our July PToM.

Aro: sutliff molto dolce.
VA: a McClelland, maybe? they do the best, but i haven't burned a ton yet...
Lat: dunhill nightcap. an icon. so tasty.
Perique: escudo. also satisfies the urge for a coin. and maybe a couple people just picked up some...
Burley: haunted bookshop or bald headed teacher.
Cav: no suggestions here.

just to throw them out there. these are all stuff i would highly recommend, as my "to try" list is WAAAAAAYYY too big. o)

java- the Molto Dolce is the only aro I have ever liked. It is a GREAT smoke. I think everyone would enough broadening their experience with it.
I would also say ODF would be a good TOTM.

For an ARO I will toss another vote for Molto Dulce. I don't like AROs but I really like this one.
For a VA/Lat/Per/Oriental I would vote for Seattle Pipe Club's Mississippi River.\
Still learning myself so just suggesting a few of my favorites, very open to other suggestions.
