So basically you are stating that these are "educated"guesses.

It is nice to hear that such and such cigar is similar to another but this is an opinion.
Added a warning to the very first line. You could say some of these are opinions as to what the second is. However, there are some cigars that I have firsts. I dissected, smoked multiples, compared everything down to the texture of the wrapper, and they are the same cigar. I have stated this the entry part of my original post. To each their own. If someone wants to believe that it is a substitute opposed to a second, I really don't care. This is my finding and I was posting what I believed to be true. But warning added.
No big deal. I was intrigued to know how you knew for certain that a cigar was a specific brand. It sounds like you did some great testing. I have tried many seconds, overruns etc. Some were very surprisingly good while other fell short. Probably why they are seconds.

Sorry to sound pissy in that response. I was drinking heavily and wasn't clearly thinking. Was my anniversary and my wife fell asleep....

I have, too. However, I think that this is because their firsts fall short, as well.

Side note: I find that a lot of AJFs are prepubescent and need a while to be any good. Pulled out the Pinoleros tonight and they were phenomenal. I remember they were so harsh when I put them to rest.

Got another round of pdr overruns. I got a 20 pack of churchills. Has a Dominican Republic sticker on the side, as well as hab 54 x 7 sticker on the bottom. Since, they have pig tails, I'm going to assume they are the capa habana reserva Dominica. I'm pretty pumped as I just bought a box of the oscuras. These don't even have blemishes on them :)

Nice!! yeah I have actually been pleasantly surprised with the Man O'War ruination 2nds. They are pretty blemish free and smoke just like the banded ones. BTW your list is amazing. The amount of time, research, and info is first rate.

@RamzaFreak20, in your vast store of knowledge about such matters, do you know anything about Don Seville and Hampton Arms made by J.C Newman? They're at CVS in 3- and 4- humi-packs for around $2. Also dirt cheap there are bundles of "Factory Value" and packs of Tobacco Place Pal'ma maduros, but neither humidified.

Picked up a couple mazos from cbid. I got some PDR lanceros, but they were 6x42. Kinda bummed because they only blend in the vitola is the Fumas. However, I did my customary dissection and its all long filler. So I don't know what I have until it rests and I smoke one.

Also grabbed some EPC 2nds in toro, which are a 5 5/8" x 46 maduro. Which fits the core maduro perfectly. Great score for $25.

Thanks Ramza! This is awesome as I love cheapies. Quantity over quality I say, but that may be my alcoholism talkin.;) Have you tried these CI Nicaraguan Boutique Overruns? I ordered lonsdales and robs @ 20%off. I can't seem to find any info online, so I am hoping you can help. Thanks.

I have not tried the Nica Boutiques yet. I do know that ci discontinued the AJ Fernandez seconds. And from the almost copy/paste description between the ajs and the boutiques, I would think that they rolled those and other blenders seconds together. I can see people buying the seconds of his, since they are so cheap. Thinning the chance of getting AJs with some Gurkhas may force people into buying banded Diesels etc.

But, since I have never smoked them, this is 100% assumption.
