I saw Buddy Guy last year. I never got in to the concert scene. There are too many bad sound men ruining good bands out there.

The last concert I went to was Ricky Scaggs. He and his band are a great bunch of talented musicians. Previous to that was either Metallica or Pantera, cant remember which was most recent.

My first concert was Deep Purple who had just come out with MachineHead album. The backup band was Fleetwood Mac who just came out with Bare Trees album and did not have any females in the band at that time. Cost of the ticket $4.00. I think the year was 1973/74 just not sure which.
I bet that was a great first concert! MH was a great album.

My first concert was my favorite band at the time, AC/DC. A friend & I sat out on the sidewalk on Peachtree Street and drank a gallon of draft beer, then also paid $4.00 at the door to get into the Agora Ballroom to see them. What a great energetic show!

I was lucky enough to see them once more before Bon Scott died, this time at the Fox Theater, another great show it was...

Man, that had to be a show!
It is a pretty good show. The Allman Brothers and Buddy Guy are the only acts I made a real effort to see on multiple occasions. The downside to Buddy Guy shows is that they become pretty much the exact same thing every year. They say to really catch him hitting his stride you have to catch him at Legends in Chicago.

This is usually the high point of the Buddy Guy show,

Buddy Guy puts on a GREAT show! Seen him several times.
The last big concert I went to was Rush at Jiffy Lube Live. They are still getting it done for a bunch of old farts.
The last small venue show I went to was Robben Ford at the Birchmere in No. VA. Robben always puts on a good show also.

I think the last concert I went to was probably Glen Philips (of Toad the Wed Sprocket) when he came to the Triple Door in Seattle. That was a pretty fun little show.

EDIT: Nope, it was the Nickel Creek reunion tour. Also a really fun show.

Art Alexakis (Everclear) and Jimi Haha (Jimmie's Chicken Shack) at the Baltimore Soundstage in December 2014. It was a great acoustic show.

Last was Simple Minds in Taormina, Sicily last summer. It was at the ancient Greek amphitheater...pretty cool outdoor concert. That's the only concert I've been to in probably 20 years!

I saw TOOL in San Diego last year. It was awesome.
I've seen TOOL several times. The wife and I were just talking about how its about time for them to tour again.

I think the last show I went to was FLAG which was ex-members of Black Flag playing the all the old Black Flag library. TSOL, one my the only bands I loved as a teenager that I had never gotten a chance to see, opened for them. It was pretty awesome, all the way around.

The last real big concert, not local bands, was The Who in 1999 at the MGM Grand in Vegas. Tickets weren't announced until about a week before the show, I bought first and asked for time off second. Lucky for me I was living in the Phoenix area so it would just be a little drive and stay overnight then back home. My boss at the time wasn't going to let me take the two days, so I put it a different way. I said I would not be at work those days and if I had a job when I got back that would be up to him. Well, I got the days off and had a tremendous time. It was supposed to be a part of the big Pixelon launch, which turned out to be the beginning of the big Pixelon scandal. They started late and the first hour was one big commercial for everything from Pixelon's "ground-breaking" internet services, which turned out to be non-existent, to resort properties in the area. The crowd, in classic Who style, turned restless and eventually booed David Spade and some scantily clad woman off the stage. Just a few years ago, I found a DVD of the concert and had to grab it up. Sadly, the pre-show was heavily edited and only got to the beginning of the crowd's unruly behaviors. Oh well, if I saw all that again it might not be as good as it is in my memories.
