@ascrivner,

Sorry I responded with such a chip on my shoulder, I must have been having a bad day. It was like my 4th post and it just struck me as a bit harsh, kind of a "you're cigar sucks, these are better" with a much more expensive cigar, and I kind of took umbrage unnecessarily and I apologize. Maybe the wife had barked at me, maybe I needed a drink, maybe I had too much to drink, maybe my blood sugar was off, who knows? I will be respectfully laid back from now on. Just gotta get used to the place.

No need to apologize at all, I take it all with a grain of salt. ;) It's all just opinions about stuff we love.

I always say it's not making a mistake that defines someone, it's how that mistake (even a very minor one, and this was minor) is handled. It takes some measure of character to come back and apologize for your third post in your fourth post to a group of guys you barely know.

Based on this post though, I think you're gonna fit right in here. Welcome!

Smal Batch has free 6 CH sampler with CH box purchase (not Las Cal 15). I got box of Headley Dobles w discount for $135. That's $4.5 each for Crowned Heads smokes. Now that's a deal!

IIRC, the pre-embarbo tobacco is kind of a gimmick, they put in some leaves, but it doesn't make much of a flavor difference. The blend would likely be the same without it. That being said, old-label Camacho Corojos are decent smokes, which I have enjoyed in the past. I wouldn't call it $10 good though.

My ex gave me a coffin of 3 of these like 6+ years ago. I have smoked 2. I don't remember the 1st one but the 2nd one I had last year and it was a really good stick imo from what I recall. My palate and tastes have changed a bunch since then but I do recall it being "cubanesque" but I wouldn't confuse it as Cuban. It is more of a gimmick than anything but they are good. Not sure they are worth $10/ea to me. I guess I need to dig through the humi and smoke the last one giving it a proper review.
