Sure is K ! I love the contrast between the lighter colored rim and the dark rustication. With the gold ring and raw briar bowl it really is a beautiful pipe.

Quick query, the cap thingy that came with it... has some sort of foam to keep it in the bowl... im guessing this is useless other than storage as the foamy stuff would surely melt? Or am i way off?
It's for pre-packing a bowl before you head out for the day...I think.
Exactly right, Kelvin!
I actually bought a set of three from Brebbia, for three different chamber diameters, and they're SO handy. Couldn't imagine going without them any more!

Just winador bombed a mate and enjoying some 3 nuns in the Sav 122 in the beautiful part of Australia said mate lives! A&W root beer as a pairing. Its amazing that i can only get root beer in Asian Grocers here in Australia! Just curious what are they worth for a carton in their country of origin... or cream soda also a great pair.

Dan, a 12 pack usually retails around $5 US and regularly found on sales for $3. Every once in a while Target will have them 4/$10. ($2.50 US for 12 cans)
There used to be A&W burger joints around where they had their root beer on tap. SO good! Haven't seen one in a while, though. Not sure if the chains have closed down or not...

There is one still right at the AZ NV border that I stop at every time I go to Vegas.

Well I didn't have a long weekend, but I did get paid double time and a half yesterday for an 8 hour shift that I did a total of about 20minutes worth of actual work... The only advantage to apartment living is there really isn't a honey-do list. I did manage to brew up a batch of beer and smoke some good cigars though. I need more weekends like that

Got an A&W burger joint here in town. Same building as the Long Jon Silvers.

The A&W on tap is the ONLY reason to go. The burgers suck.

Wow I pay $15 per 6 pack at the asian supermarket here in Aus.
Which at the moment is $10.55 US.

Wish I could find a place to buy it by the crate for less. And postage from the US would be massive too...

Ahh well moderation is key i guess!

I know lots of Aussies brew their own beer because of the cost of beer there. You can make excellent root beer at home too plus the manly feeling of making it yourself!

It's definitely on the cards mate. I bought my first house 2 years ago and pretty much every little thing I have done since then is leading towards building a rather large man cave / workshop / cigar / pipe lounge / walk in humidor / brew den. It is definitely on the cards in the future just need a few years of saving... (he says as he just hits up another $100AU order from smokingpipes.com). :banghead: PAD / TAD vs Savings.... fatality...

You can get started brewing pretty inexpensively. After the equipment the costs for ingredients aren't bad at all. The saison I just brewed cost me $30us for 5 gallons which is just over 50 bottles. I think my setup has about $200us total into it. When you are ready to make the plunge don't hesitate to pm me. I love to enable, er I mean help.

@BrewinHooligan I don't even hardly drink beer and you've got me curious! If nothing else, would be cool to have for when we entertain...
If you like craft beer it's definitely worth it. If you are happy with Bud light, well I can't help you with that. Lol. I make fruit wines too. Even less equipment and easier, but the process is longer (mostly waiting). I make a 10%abv lemon wine that tastes like lemonade, it's dangerous stuff.

Sorry to derail the thread guys! No pipe for me tonight, but I'm dreaming of some Mississippi River or some more Solani Aged Burley. I am serious when I say I'm pretty sure the Aged Burley is the only pipe baccy I have had that hasn't messed up my mouth.

If I have to have a beer, I prefer thicker and richer. No piss-water XYZ Light.
I'd really like to make mead but need to get in good with a local beekeeper to cut costs on honey.
Might have to have you give me a walk-through on some of the others, too. I could handle saving some money on mama's trips to the wine store!
