@JonHuber I'm taking one for a spin right now. Specifically, the 4 1/2 x 48.

I don't get too fancy with reviews but I'll edit this real time as I go.

Pre-light smells like cat pee and a little bit of hay. That may not sound appealing, but I got really excited. Some of the best cigars out there smell like cat pee before you light them. It reminded me immediately of a well aged DPG Blue, though lacking a little of the chocolate undertones. I'll attribute that to the corojo.

Cold draw was a little grassy, but not overpoweringly so.

First 3/8" is a pepper bomb. I mean, POW! It's starting to mellow, but still a lot of pepper on the retrohale

Probably 5/8" in and the pepper has decreased quite a bit. Mostly a wood note now.

Coming up on halfway and we're woody and a little grassy on the retro. There is a faint bit of lingering sweetness on the palate, but it's dry. I had to touch it up, because it looks like there might have been an airgap between binder/filler and wrapper in one spot, though I didn't notice it before I lit it. Draw is perfect, smoke production is good.

Once I touched it up the burn line is perfect and the ash is --what are the cool kids calling it these days? Oh yeah, stacking dimes.

Not a lot of transition in this cigar once the pepper cools off. It's pretty straightforward and quite tasty. I can see this pairing really well with a bourbon or a highland scotch as I think it would cut through those really well.

I see this in my regular rotation in the future. I'm going to stop reviewing and enjoy the last inch or so.

Cat pee? Really? I'm gonna have to set a DPG aside to experiment.

Just got around to smoking one of these yesterday afternoon....

Bottom line up front.... HOLY SHIT THIS IS A GOOD CIGAR!!!!!!

Anyone that knows my preferences in CC's knows my affinity for the RA Superiores...

If I were doing a blind review.. I could have easily been "confused" by this stick and thought someone had handed me one of my favorite ISOM sticks (the Superiores)...

Thick "baked bread" notes fill the aroma.. the flavor profile is full of salt, toasted almonds, and baking spices...

I need to smoke a few more before I make a final determination.... but....

This may very well be even better than my current "all time favorite" CH cigar, the Mule Kick (anyone that knows me, knows those words dont come lightly.. went through 7+ boxes of Mules.. and bought every one of them I could find back when they were originally being sold... )...

Job well done @JonHuber !

I should add...

@JonHuber is a crafty bastid...

I originally asked that my "winnings" be sent to another member here... super deserving BOTL.. that is a big CH fan, was having a birthday, and has a baby on the way...

Jon agreed this was a good idea.. and sent a prize pack to the guy I recommended..

And then still tagged me with a bunch of cigars..

Ok, I have purposely not read what others have said about this cigar (both in this thread and elsewhere). Here are my thoughts.

First off this stick has a sweet flavor on the draw and kicks you in the teeth with pepper on the retrohale. That lasts about half an inch or so.

Then the flavors settle into an earthy bread like flavor with a hint of sweetness and saltiness that persists throughout the end of the second third. I'm getting something kinda almondy (guess that's not a word) that is faint but present (probably shouldn't have eaten a jalapeno cheeseburger before smoking this...).

Last third the flavors died down a bit but I'm still getting flavors that are decidedly Cuban? I hate saying something is cubanesque (that word gets thrown around a lot) and I haven't smoked a lot of CC's but darn if it isn't familiar.

I'm going to steal @sofc 's rating scale.

Sucks
Okay
Buy a box
Buy boxes.

BUY BOXES. @JonHuber is going to have a hit on his hands with this one...

I smoked the 6x54, paired with water.

Stick was courtesy of CH as a prize in the contest.
