Fresh off the UPS truck, from Amazon. Xikar Stratosphere II. The Vendor got my order wrong though, I thought I was getting the 1st generation with the knurled look and locking cap because I wanted that "tactical" look. But I got this instead. Still happy though. Perfect for EDC minimalists who want some kind of "brand name" with the rest of their EDC stuff.

Post pictures of your favorite lighter, and why you like it.
My favorite lighter would be one that works every time I try to use it. Havent found one yet thats up to the task at high elevation other than a cheap bic but they're about useless in the wind. :banghead:

XiKar Stratosphere....

I use mine regularly as high as 9500 AGL.. in high winds, on the side of a mountain in colorado.. in very cold temperatures (as low as high teens.. I dont venture out in anything much colder than that)..

Fires up every single time..

And can be had reasonably cheap (I got mine "wholesale" for about $15 I think.. retail they are less than $25 though most places)...

That was actually the next lighter on my list, Hopefully I have the same luck when mine shows up.

youre not too terribly far from where I use mine at altitude (just realized you were just outside of the springs.. my little mountain cabin is about 2 1/2 hours south of you.. outside of Ft. Garland...

Im going to guess the stratosphere will serve you very well..

not sure how it will perform if youre trying to get it to work 500 feet above the tree line on pikes peak or something like that..

but at 9500.. mine performs like a champ!

9500-10K suits my needs. Looking at some land down by Ft Garland myself, nice area to get away to.

NICE! This is the one that I thought I ordered but the 2nd generation showed instead. Personally I prefer the knurled look and the locking cap. otherwise, no difference in function.

My best one is a Bugatti B100 I think. When it's out of fuel it's matches.
