I do have a local cutout valve plus the main shut off just inside the foundation but having the main shut should cause anything to freeze. I’m replacing a gas unit.

Got it done with 2 extra trips to Home Depot and fixing a leak that started that wasn’t their prior to the install. I owe my BIL a few beers.

Lately I'm turning over ideas for a red cedar porch bench / shoe storage box. But I am not much of a woodworker.....
