Good to see kids exposed to fire arms. Can't wait for my kids to get old enough for the range!

Have to say, that’s very cool... great dad there!!!!
Thanks fellas, its great.

But it's just part of the job to me. Better for them to have a good understanding and healthy fear of them.

Satisfy the curiosity, and make them. Safe and competent.

People that don't know firearm safety scare the piss out of me.

Mine get "the 4 rules" ingrained before they're allowed to handle a bb gun.

And try to make sure to teach them how to safely load and unload each type of firearm. It's scary how many adults couldn't safely make a weapon safe if they had to.

Right!!! I've left the public range due to my safety concerns about the people around me.

What's more scary are the adults that don't understand firearms that are trying to make the rules regulating them!!!

I have left the range multiple times when the idiots show up. Every year someone gets shot at the local range I shoot at. I shoot mostly benchrest rimfire and always enjoy 3 old timers who do likewise. They are very safe and friendly and go early mornings during the week. They get fussy if anyone shoots anything that is high velocity.

Glassman, I love seeing pics of your kids enjoying some well supervised range time. Good stuff!

Picked this up yesterday at a price I couldn’t pass up. Put it together yesterday & been sighting it in & shooting some this morning. I’ve never owned one myself but have shot & hunted with several that were owned by friends. I’d call this a good starter bow but at only 245fps, it drops off significantly after 40 yards, unlike some of the nicer stronger ones I’ve used. Still a cool toy for what I’ve got in it & plenty accurate & strong enough to hunt if you don’t takes shots over 40.

Been scoping out my local WMs for deals like this as well. Some guys knock on the crossbows over compound bows but I really like them and if they are legal then whats the deal?

I’m a firm believer in making ethical kills on game. If you can make a more accurate ethical shot with a crossbow idk why anyone would choose a bow over it. Same as rifle vs bow hunting. A rifle will make a far more ethical kill. So, i put the bow down as soon as gun season opens. I don’t understand people that bow hunt when they have the option to use a rifle. They say it’s more challenging. Yea more challenging in that you might miss or worse make a bad shot. If they want the challenge of getting close to them to shoot um, then use a rifle & don’t shoot them over 40 yards then. Sorry for the rant.

I completely agree and thats how I look at it. I would rather rifle hunt but they limit us to a few weeks here versus bow is like october to february. I tend to choose what is most accurate and leads to less suffering of the animal.

Nice. How does it shoot?
So far, so good. With the dry weather and threat of fires here, I've only had it out a few times out to 100 and I'm definitely the limiting factor.
We're getting ready to move here in a bit and there's a range with steel out past a mile a few minutes away, I'm looking forward to properly stretching its legs when we get there.
