One of my favorite Old Forester’s. Probably been through 5 bottles myself, love that deep cherry note. Still trying to find the elusive handle of it in NJ.

Much overlooked because of the price but really is a great simple pour...not heavy on the alcohol. PS...I grew up in South Jersey...lol

I never would’ve guessed, coastal south jersey or PA/DE side? Crazy how diverse this state is, 120 Miles separates Goomba country and our very own Rodeo lol

scored on some Buffalo Trace! Got a case at <$12 a bottle. Then I went to another store and got a few more. It went on sale, and the store forgot to stop the buy one/get one free until it was too late.

my local grocery store used to rock, it’s dried up some but they used to have so much BT that wouldn’t fit on the shelves so they piled it up near the registers.

Had a single barrel pick Knob Creek bourbon (9 year) followed by a single barrel pick KC Rye (6 year).

Really highlighted how these are two completely different animals. The smooth Oak and long clean finish of the bourbon compared to the big Rye note on the palate and rye spice dominating the finish.

Just shows me how much more I enjoy the straight bourbon. Probably won't buy many Ryes going forward unless something really stands out.
