Cutter, thanks, yes Connelly. Just moved on to another of his books...about 3 books after Concrete Blonde (the wife for some reason took almost random books from her Father's collection when we were up there last time). Forget the name at the moment.

Patterson is one of my favorite authors for whoever was reading "London Bridges". Only the Cross-Detective novels though. His others don't do much for me.

That would be me. Last night, I finished "London Bridges" and started "The Big Bad Wolf." I know, they're out of order, but that's par for the course for me.

I think his non-Cross books are really hit and miss (Though I really liked "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" and am not afraid to admit it in front other guys. Well... maybe a little.)

Good Choice Craig. Never read the Susan's diary book...just couldn't bring myself to do it. Love Cross though.

Which one?
Utah Beach by Joseph Balkoski. Very informative, if a little biased. He contends that the parachute drop by the 82nd and 101st was a success because it caused the Germans to be disrupted and indecisive. This is true, however, most of the objectives of the airborne were not met.

You'll have to let me know what you think, that's on my wish list. Right now, I'm reading a book called Out, I just finished Choke and my next is a book called Geek Love...Can you tell I read too much :)

You want to read it, I can send it your way.
My Dad actually gave me his copy. Thanks

I'm about 3/4's through and if you like Jim Norton you'll laugh your way through this. It's not a masterpiece of literature but I find it hilarious.

I'm reading "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young"
Excellent book! I saw the movie and picked up the book not long after, but only read it about 6 months ago. I was too young for Vietnam, but my dad was there...as close as we are, only once did he ever open up and tell me a couple of stories about what it was like, then he clammed up and never talked about it to me again.
