  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Melted the Heartfelt mesh bag and the beads escaped all over the place. After corraling the suckers put back in the cooledor. Some improvement but sticking at 68%. Next I'm trying the fans.

I have always kept my cigars at whatever humidity I could get the crazy thing to level out at without changing all the time.:nodlaugh:

But I will soon have the 65% beads and hopefully they'll work as good for me as everyone else and the days of headache will be gone.

I just got my Avanti. I have a Cigar Oasis on the bottom & a pound of heartfelt 65 beads in it. Half on the top & half on the bottom. Seems to be staying at 62-66 depending on the shelf. Now if I could just get this darn Oasis to turn off. I'm still playing with it. This model doesn't have a digital display. I also think all of the boxes may be soaking it up too. Sticks are smokin great & that's all that matters!

Do you notice that your beads dry out on sides where cigars are closer? I see this right now with my beads and wondering if a fan would remedy.

A fan will not hurt the beads and stirring the air will help regulate the RH.

I never notices my cigars sucking out the RH from beads but 99% of my sticks are in boxes to help regulate RH better.

When I set it to 65% the wraps start to crack. I think in this higher elevation you need higher RH to counter the lower atmospheric pressure. 70-71 works great for me
I wonder why that happens? they crack at the foot, or trough out?
