Where in GA are you looking? Tobacco World got these in a few days ago. They sold a few boxes and are now selling singles to people - 1 per customer. Or they were as of Saturday.

Abe, i dont see how you can see your way of doing things as fair. The fair way to do it would be to give everyone a raffle ticket when they come in. As you said you have several people you have never done business with contacting you for the dracs, this is a perfect time to expand your customer base with your excellent customer service. Instead you have decided to take this wonderful opportunity to sell as much of your addition product as possible, i am actually surprised there is not a cover charge the day you do the drawing. You seem to be actually complaining about being one of the Unlucky 13, which i personally think is ridiculous, and after this little event i hope they go back to the one store mentality so you wont have this problem again.

That's what I thought. Man, I go so unlucky (in a bad way) with the first places I called when these were released. Started making calls at 1:01, got on 4 lists, all decided to sell locally instead. Oh well. I'm still gonna get mine, BOTLs FTW!

Thank you! I called him about it maybe 2 min after you got off the phone. You are right, he does seem like a stand-up guy. I gave him permission to use the art and he said he would send out a little care package out for me. Thanks to everyone that was looking out for me on this. I think it was a misunderstanding between him and a new website designer he hired a couple months back. Either way it all worked out. Besides, its kinda cool to see your art on someones website :awholelot

Very little return on investment here. The likelyhood of future business from a new out of state customer for a LE stick is almost nil. from a business standpoint, this was the right decision.

Would you want to be in his position and all the negative implications related to this for a cigar that will only be available for a day. The world will move on, but the implications of pissing people off will stay with them.

F##### I was on the list but wasn't contacted at all! I called them twice last week checking in on them and was told they would call! talked to them a few minuets ago and he said he only had a couple of sticks left. Not driving 4 hrs for a couple of sticks!!! Damn

Wow, This is a very different story then the one he gave me on the phone last week. Then he was saying starts at 6pm - buy a box and get a box of Drac, not this lotto stuff. I even thought that was oportunistic although I understand his point about most inquires not being from regulars. I am or at least was a regular at the Pompano store. I'll still go to meet Pete, I've been trying to get a chance to do that for a long time. So many retailers are selling these at MSRP or adjusted for state tax with no string attached.

I've also heard that some shops (not this one, next rant) are opening all the boxes before shipping to look for the golden tickets. A friend of mine down here who scored a box was told to be sure to look in the box the B&M was adding something extra. I don't think he called him on it, he was glad to get the box, but what's the odds they would leave the ticket.

Pete, if your listening here's and idea in the true spirit of Trick or Treat. Keep a list of the shops that jack up the price, attach fat cash strings to the sale, open boxes to cheat customers of a chance at a golden ticket and black list them for future LE shipments! it's your brand and customer they are hurting, not theirs!
