$10 for a lancero, I'll prob pass.
I passed on the fresno CF5 too cuz price/size ratio.

Ill pay $10 for anarchy(bought 4 boxes) or 109(bought 3 boxes) cuz size justifes it IMO. (Although I really want to see some cheaper sticks coming from Pete.)

I just can't understand this logic. For me, it's all about the vitolas I enjoy and what smokes well. Absent nirvana, I can't imagine me buying the German release because of the size, even if it's good bang for buck.

I'm a huge fan of smaller ring gauges and as such shall be more inclined to lean that way. In addition, I'd pay more for the Pork Tenderloin, than just about any other one, because I think it's better.

As for the cheaper releases, it'd be nice, but I can't see Pete making better margins when time/effort gets factored in the LEs as compared to the regular sticks.

And Pete, maybe you could do a run of 33 boxes each with a specific page from the trademark dispute, I really would love 15 Lanceros and a page full of Spanish-English dictionaries. lol.

Took the words right out of my mouth Charlie.

You get what you pay for with anything. And I prefer smaller RG. Hell, I'd pay more TO get a smaller RG! Just my preference.

From what I've seen most premium lanceros are in the $10 range. They are typically very hard sizes to roll and require a great deal of skill, thus limiting which torcedors can roll them in a factory. Obviously, they're only worth what you're willing to pay, but I don't think this price is that out of line with others in the market.

They are $10 in MA because of the tax. Around $9 elsewhere.
As far as less expensive cigars. Try my other brands like Ambos Mundos, La Casita Criolla (in July), Havana VI or Series P Sumatra(next month). All are very reasonable compared to many other brands on the market.

What would be considered cheap?

In my mind, $10 is smack dab in the middle for price. Cheap to me is $4-6. Obviously, this is going to vary person to person. I wonder what the majority of people think cheap is? I smell a poll...

I would say I have cigars in every price bracket. $3-4 for Series P, $4-6 for Ambos Mundos, $6-8 for La Casita, Havana VI and Triunfador.

What are the margins on $3.25 Brown Labels? lol.

You are fine Pete, I think the fact that the LEs have all been roughly in the $8-$13 MSRP mark is right where they should be.

Even if I don't like something like the Anarchy, it's not a $5 cigar.

I think Im fighting a loosing battle cuz my years on here has shown me that members here prefer smaller cigars to larger ones. But i could be wrong on that.

I should have been a bit more clear on post above. Im not saying they ALWAYS arent worth it. But generaly speaking, to me that is the case.
First, I am a "longer smoking time size" the better kinda guy. Almost ALL of my cigars are 1.5+ hour smokes. So a quicker smoke is far less desirable for me.
Second, I will pay more then I want to based on smaller size if the blend calls for it. I.e. the Black PL. Glad I bought a box, just wish they smoke longer. But still glad and I will buy more. But I'd like to see that size closer to $5. Just MO.
Third, I LOVE the anarchy and 109. Hence why I dropped so much cash on them. The blends are amazing and the fact that the sizes are perfect for me too, Im cool with $10 each, wouldn't mind less, but ill pay the $10.

But, even though you seem to disagree, I totally factor size in to if I will buy or not. I dont think anyone can deny that.

Also, I know there is lots work involved and all in the process, I'm just saying I'd like to see less expensive stuff come from him more too. Just MO.

That's the same logic I use. The other post just made it sound like you were approaching cigars on bang for buck solely in terms of how much tobacco you can get, which doesn't seem like a good idea. Think we're all on the same page.

I gotta say, I think every one of the Tatuaje LEs I've had have been reasonably priced and lived up to their hype for the most part. I think people put too much emphasis on price based on size and don't focus enough on the quality of the stick. Sure a Federal LE might be twice the size and similar price as this Tattoo stick, but maybe the tobacco used in the Federal stick doesn't cost as much as the tobacco used in the Tattoo? I think too many people don't realize the time and investment involved to manufacture cigars and think just because it is so and so size it should $5 or $10, etc.

Pete, I think you know me. I smoke 7-10 tats a week. I have dozens of boxes of your cigar blends in my stash...
...with that being said, I just would love to see more stuff in a lower price range. Does every cigar need to be $8-$14? Besides the 5 blends you listed all the dozens of other blends you've released are up there.

I dont know, who am I to tell you that, I dont know the industry that well and certainly dont run a cigar brand...... on the other hand, I think I am the kind of customer you want to hear from....the guy who always smokes your stuff, shares the brand with all the smokers he knows, has primarily your cigar brand in his humi, etc.

You know Im a fan. Keep it up..

Wouldn't you like to know?
Hate to say this but it all depends on the stick. If the blend hits perfect price can be irrelevant. I would think I was getting a deal if Pete released the 06 Noella reserva again. For new cigars I know they aren't quite the same thing
but Behike's aren't cheap but they are hard to find world wide as they are selling out like crazy. I find that $10 is reasonable so may pick some up.

$10 is perfectly reasonable for me if it's a great stick.

In my experience lanceros are never the cheapest vitola anyways.

I think everything sounds great with this one!

Wow...it's getting to be rediculous in my opinion. I say bring on the "Fausto" and 'La Casita"...think I'll have another Cojonu 03 today!
