BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Candela
Candelas are the same as Claro Claros and Double Claros. Back in the 50's and 60's they were the most popular wrapper in America, so much so that they were also called American Market Selection or AMS. I may be wrong, but IIRC, the petite Upmanns that JFK favored were in a candela wrapper... -

Just remember that King B's need at least one year, and preferably two, in the humidor before they are really ready to smoke. -
What kind of cutter do you use?
I don't think they exist any more. I tried doing some research to find one about a year ago, especially the Prometheus. One of our BOTL vendors was kind enough to tell me that he wasn't carrying them any more because their quality just wasn't there. I tried some mid-priced ones from...- vperlman

Flor de Ybor City??
Decent budget cigar, especially if you like the Fuente flavor profile. They aren't as good as regular Fuentes, but you can definitely taste the family connection. -

I smoke one maybe a couple of times a year, usually when I just want a real change of pace to reboot my palate. Good advice re: keeping 'em out of your regular humidor. I have a couple in a tupperdor that I reserve for Javas. -
How many do you smoke daily
My daily consumption depends on all sorts of factors and can range from 0 to 5 (and on rare occasion, even more). -
cut or punch
You can double (or even triple) punch a large cigar, if you like punches. I used to use them but switched because of the build-up of tar. Also, you can buy punches in various sizes, and then match them to the appropriate cigars. -

On the pricey side, at least for me, but superb. You should definitely try a couple and pray that you don't get hooked. -

I have Otter Box Cigar Caddies in the 5, 10, 15 and 50 stick sizes. I am looking for something in between the 15 and 50, which I think Otter Box used to make, but I don't see any. Does anyone know what's out there that will hold around 3 dozen churchills or double coronas? TIA. -
