• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Show/List your latest NC Purchase

Wow OR Behike's for sale as singles in a US B&M. Talk about good fortune there. Were they less then the $1000 a stick charged elsewhere in the world?

    Best smoking night ever!!!

So which was your favourite. I find the 5000 to be the best of the x000 series these days but still not as good as the Chateaux series. Even if they are not strong I still love the experience of old cigars.

    Drew Estate Undercrown

I am quite looking forward to trying this one. I hate to say that I not often a fan of the Liga lines as they seem to overwhelm my palet. That said the OR Liga 9's now are fantastic to me so I stocked up hoping that the rest will mellow to the point of me being able to get the enjoyment most...

    Maybe it's just me....

Not sure but maybe your tastes have changed as well. I have had similar experiences with cigars I used to love then just seemed dull and boring to me years later even tho they were from the same box. I find my tastes change constantly and while I hope I am picking better cigars all the time I...

Need info on Partagas 150 Don Ramon

I completely see where you are coming from but I have smoked quite a few pre embargo cubans and clear Havana's and will say that while I agree past thier prime can still be great smokes. I enjoy the connection to the past that I seem to get and am many times surprised by just how much flavour...

How Old Is Too Old For An Opus?

I have never smoked one that I considered too old. I have never tried the OR release but have had one that was over 10 years old (thanks Terran!) and was still a fantastic cigar. Maybe in another 20 or 30 years my opinion may change but I think they have enough strength to continue to age for...

    New England HERF VI

Hate to be the one to bring this up but somehow I always knew Jeromeo was a closet ACID freak. Just keeps picking up the MFLE's and a squishee at the kwikee mart to throw off the track!

Tatuaje Wolfman Monster Series 2011 Pre-release

Great Review. I am no longer dreading halloween after what to me was a great success last year with the face release. I always look forward to these releases even though I have tried really hard not to buy anything this year. Just a fun release that BOTL has always gotten excited about, maybe...

What's the most you smoked in one day?

12 or 14 in Havana. I find more then 4 or 5 NC's a day destroys my palet but even at over 10 of aged cc's I could still apreciate the last one. Posted via Mobile Device

    bbq charcoal

Refuel? If I load up at the beginning never had to reload. Longest cook was 30ish hours and still had close to 1/4 of what I started with. Posted via Mobile Device

    Best cigar age?!

Most of my top 10 cigars are in the 20 to 30 year range. I have smoked quite a few that were well past their prime at that age but when they are on they are amazing. There are flavours that show up that I have never tasted in other cigars that causes that for me. It is all about a completely new...

    bbq charcoal

I always have a few in rotation as it depends on what I am going for. I have BGE, Dragons Breath, wicked good and my personal favourite is Charcos which is made from coconut husks. It does not add a lot of flavour so you can choose which flavours to add. It sucks to light but burns incredibly...
