• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Need help with Scotch selection

I am a big fan of balvenie scotches. The new oak they released this year was really good. Posted via Mobile Device

    Need help with Scotch selection

JW Blue can be bought in Edmonton every day for under $200 and it is while there may be some online guys selling blue for that cheap in the US it is deffinately not everywhere. I always have 30 or 40 bottles of scotch around the house and travel to the staes usually 6 times a year and never...

    Need help with Scotch selection

Scotch is not much cheaper in the US then here. You will rarely save more the 10-20%. The better deals are always on Bourbon, Rum and Tequila. I am not sure if they are quite prtotectionist of their whiskey market or why it is but Scotch never seems like a good deal there. The cheaper the booze...

Which cigar takes longer to smoke?

In my view the siglo VI will take longer to smoke. Many cigars from Pepin seem under filler and loose and smoke very quickly much like Padrons for me. Posted via Mobile Device

    Time sensitive question

The Bolivar Emirates were starting to ship during the festival. I saw the first 50 boxes getting packed into a master carton while I was at the La Corona factory. I have smoked 1 and shared a few and they seemed to be quite good. Posted via Mobile Device

What price is a cheap, quality cigar to you?

I am always in search of Epic cigars so if the stick is good enough I can find it cheap at $20 or $30. If it is an good stick maybe might be cheap at $10 and if only ok maybe at $5. I try to keep price away from my buying so I can look for the best cigars at any price. Posted via Mobile Device

Hate to say this but it all depends on the stick. If the blend hits perfect price can be irrelevant. I would think I was getting a deal if Pete released the 06 Noella reserva again. For new cigars I know they aren't quite the same thing but Behike's aren't cheap but they are hard to find world...

    Where Cuban Cigars Come From

I was in the Upmann factory earlier this year and in the old one 2 years ago. It is funny that they had to move it this year now that the new one is unsafe. Its a cool factory but I still prefer El Laguito and La Corona. But the old one was quite nice. Posted via Mobile Device

    CC, NC, or both?

I would have prefer the poll to be "if you could only have NC's or CC's fot the rest of your time smoking which would it be?" While I do like both the question of which do you prefer is what made my answer up. Here in Canada CC's are the bigger seller while we do still sell quite a few NC's...

    CC, NC, or both?

There are quite a few good and great NC's but in the end all of my top 25 cigars are cc's. I have great access to all kinds of cigars and end up probably pretty close to 70/30 CC/NC. I find that the longer and more I smoke the more I lean back to CC's as the balance is better and they don't burn...

quick feedback needed - Oasis XL

The other big advantage of going to a better humidification device is control. Large cabinets are difficult to balance if they are full and you are only usuing one source of humidification. If you really fill it up it will be tough to get the air flow you need to balance it out so more sources...

    Tatuaje Monster Series

I think they stopped being a priority when the drama around them became bigger then the cigar itself. Pete knew it was gimmiky and fun when he started them but am guessing the fun has left and with that it's place on his priority list. I love the gimmick but will not worry as long as there are...
