• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Favorite Connecticut?

The Federal house blend My Father Connecticut is a great smoke. The wrapper is fragile but that's the only not-so-great thing about it. ...and I agree with the bugman. PR is the champ of the line.

    Question about ash length

If the ash is recessed, does that mean the humi is over humidified?

    Tatuaje Little Boris

Nice review J. I have a box and smoked a few. What a great cigar! I'm hit-and-miss with special editions from PJ, but this was a hit for sure.

    Cigar King Gold Series

Nice review. I'll try this eventually. The problem with selling smokes in this price range, in my very humble opinion, is that there are many cigars in this range that shine. The next time I put an order in at Cigar King, I'll snap a fiver of these for sure :)

    Question about ash length

I keep all of my smokes at 65% in an Aristocrat Mini. My cigars smoke just fine (cc and nc), but I notice that the ash on my cigars rarely gets past an inch. Question: What determines the ability of ash to hold? Is it a humidification issue, a production issue, or a "smoking speed" thing...

    Amazing Wrapers!

I've bought several boxes of Torano Tribute 2008 over the last couple of years. I like the cigars a lot (obviously) but I always spend a few minutes smelling the wrapper before I light up. It's oily, sweet, and has a powerful grassy aroma that I love. I don't have a lawn anymore, so this is as...

    Grilling while drunk...

Isn't that the perfect scenario? You come home from work at midnight and your wife is already drunk? Your timing could not be better, my man :) ...and you get to eat a grilled meal before the action starts? Priceless.

Drew Estate BOTL 2012 Limited Edition

Excellent review. Along with the Little Boris, this jewel is my favorite so far this year. I can't distinguish flavors in the same detail you can, but your take looks about right :) Great cigar.

    LP9 Voluminous Smoke Experiment

Great idea for an experiment :) Here's the original thread for the Steve Saka response if anyone is interested: http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php/56775-LP9-question?highlight=lp9+why+they+smoke+so+much Steve's response is #24. I left some of it off when I pasted it at OLH

San Diego Summer Herf August 4, 2012

Just returned from a six hour stint at Casa De Jeffrey. In summary, The food absolutely killed (Pollo Especial, and delicious sausages from PNoon - and a whole lot else I didn't get to). Great cigars, but most importantly, genuine and fantastic people. I was there for six hours, but it felt like...

Most you have paid for a cigar

I bought a Behike 52 fiver. I think it was about 35 each. I also bought a box of Davidoff 100th Anni. Diademas. Those were expensive, but not in the Behike realm.

BOTL™ 2012 Lancero by Drew Estate

I will be surprised if any of these end up in the "For Sale" section of the forum (No, I have not checked). Two of the best nc cigars I have ever smoked, DE 2012 BOTL lance, and Tat Little Boris, were released within a month of each other (approximately). Amazing! Life is good :)
