• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Getting binders and wrappers to lie flat

I saw that blotching when using the chaveta to roll/smooth also. I stopped doing that and just try not to have any bumps in the bunch before putting the wrapper on now. Just a thought, Jim

What would your last cigar be?

I'd go for one of the stogies I rolled with my son. We're saving them for his 18th birthday for now, but if knew it was to be my last, we might smoke em early!

    Pics of Your Sticks

@Hopduro the coloring and texture on these appear to be milk chocolate, have you been dipping your smokes in melted milky ways? Man they look smooth!

For what it's worth... went back to the drawing board.

I assume you'd let them air out or sit in a humidor prior to lighting one that was saturated with pure oxygen, right? They'd probably burn pretty fast otherwise...

    Cigar Molds Thread

Is this something I should've been doing all along? Thanks for the advice. I will give this a try. Sunday will be my next night off. If I do this early Sunday night, I should be able to bag them Monday morning, leave them in the bags while working the next 4 or 5 nights, then roll em up. Is 4...

    Cigar Molds Thread

I tried this on my most recent batch. I think I should've let the leaves dry further before bunching them. After the 5 second swish, the leaves were laid on a paper towel on the counter and stacked. I should've found a way to lay them in a single layer. The bunching was easy but I can't draw...

Sighted Man's Truth: The Circle of Leaf

With my schedule, I barely keep up with my smoking. I actually bought some commercial sticks just to avoid smoking my homerolls for a little. I'm going to try to build up some inventory to participate in the second round. This sounds awesome!

    Blend testing

Tried a new blend last night, gave it almost 12 hours of rest. 1 WLT Piloto Cubano Seco 1 WLT Corojo Viso 1 WLT Dominican Ligero Bound in Piloto Cubano Seco Wrapped with LO Brazilian Habano Viso (sold as filler, just a nice leaf) Was nice, I imagine it'll be great in a few months.

    LO Ec Seco Binder

I have a sample of each in my cart. I know I like the wrapper but between you both, I may just order a pound of binder!

I've not used the CT LS yet but had burn challenges with the CT1DW. Tasted great so the last bit of the sampler I had became strips of filler versus wrapper. No burn problems as filler.

Meaning this 3rd pound is different from the first 2 pounds, or flojo as a whole is not what you thought it would be?
