BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Morning After Cigar
Not a chance. Especially here in Florida, the dang thing would be so over-humidified that if it wasn't already swollen and split, it would still be unsmokable. To be honest, I can't think of a time when I've set a cigar down to peacefully die out where I would rather have finished it. -

Same/Same, they both humidify the same amount of space per the same weight of beads. -

Honestly, I've found most of the better online dealers are also B&Ms locally. So in some cases, you get the best of both worlds, right? :wink: -

Doug, check out this post on seasoning and humidification. It may help to clear some things up as well. Plenty of us have been where you are. We all came out the other end. :thumbsup: -

OK, I looked up the DR RH stuff. 70% RH gel-type thingy. Be very careful using these to rehumidify your cigars. If they are truly around 50%, jumping the RH to 70% will almost surely cause you to split some wrappers. The other brothers have it right on the re-seasoning deal. Put your cigars... -

Doug, First things first. Breath brother. You are probably OK, but we need to check some things first. First thing: take out any glasses of water you put in your humidors. If your cigars are truly at 50% RH or something close, you are going to raise the RH way, way, way too fast and will... -

OK, so I'm confused. You have an Accumonitor AND a cold mist humidifier? Did you not get an Accumonitor system, but just the controller? And if so, any particular reason why? -

Pictures...this post is useless without pictures. I don't see why you couldn't make that at work. Seal up the seams as Chuck says, get yourself a foam or rubber door seal for the door, line with spanish cedar or mahagony, good to go. -

And as a side note, while some manufacturers may "box press" cigars purposely nowadays to get said shape, I don't believe it was originally meant to intentionally change the shape. It was just something that happened to cigars that were packaged in a certain type of box. -
