• I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back

    Obsessive humidor reorganization

I have about 20 something humidors...cooleradors...tupperadors and when I walk by I swear I can hear whispering...when I open it up ....I hear nothing. This only makes my OCD worse when it comes to organizing 3000 cigars.

    An HC kinda day

Many places to score HC when on a cruise. I love going to Europe and when in Venice last November they had the 7 year rum for $14 a bottle...so I snatched about 4 bottles w/o even thinking.

A kinder, gentler FDA thread -- now with facts! (TL/DR, the sky is not falling)

Gotta love it when there's a mix of Government regulations to tell us they are looking out for our interests by taxation. Aren't there more things out there for them to protect us from....to debate what the Gov't is going to do or what it wants to do is a bottomless pit of complete and...

    Hello from NE Atlanta

Welcome from NW Atlanta....seems there's enough brothers from the Atlanta area to organize a herf at some point.

    Flying with cigars

I have travelled quite a bit in my time as have others and it seems that the bulk of most airports are pretty good as far as lighters and cutters. At some point we deal with airports that seem to want to be a little more meticulous and will confiscate our hardware. I've had soft flame lighters...

I'm new any advice would be appreciated

The best way to get acquainted is to jump in with both feet. I've been here quite awhile and the changes are few and as far as navigating the site...pretty simple. If there are definitive questions that you have that you don't see answers to then by all means let us know. Welcome.

    Enough Cigars, and keeping notes

It's all in how you look at things...so far my wife's purses...shoes. ..jewelry. ...haven't impacted my life in a positive way...at all. Cigars and Drambuie has saved me thousands over the last 40 years....haven't visited a therapist ever which has saved me $$$ which more than paid for cigars...

    Enough Cigars, and keeping notes

I did the math for you brother....if you drank domestic ( Lone Star/Bud/Michelob ) at about 2 6 paks a week counting for inflation .......$500 per year over 40 years = $20,000. If you drank Internationally like Heineken or Guinness then adjust that would be about $600 per year over 40 years =...

    What's in your travel humidor?

Was going to say the same thing.....I keep a couple of Herf A Dors ....10 and 15 count size so that when I travel I don't sit there and drive myself crazy choosing what I'll take with me. I have a 30 count Tupperador for those long extended vacations that holds cigars, lighters, nubber and cutter.

    Enough Cigars, and keeping notes

I did the math with my smoking cigars since I was the age of 12 and at my age the average is probably around 2 per week for 50 years....at $6 average per stick that would be $624 a year over 50 years = $31,200. My wife wasn't very impressed with that magical number and seems as though she's out...

    Built a tunnel last night

Great photo of a cigar that just didn't cut the mustard. When I sense any cigar that starts to tunnel/canoe I'll use a soft flame to flame the end and it straightens out pronto.

    La Flor Dominicana

Nicely done.....how did you do that? That could mean so many different lighters as I own a dozen Ronsons.

    JR “Pepperbox” (by Plasencia)

Love the look and the band....that channel in the middle just isn't a good idea. Whoever came up with that idea is probably shoveling a latrine in the back of the factory...at noon on a hot humid day with no wind...smoking one of these. Thx for the review.
