I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
Sorry to hear your cigar smoking experience turned south. I would have hardly recommended the PSP#2 as your first foray into cubans. C'est la vie but somehow me thinks you'll have another first foray that'll turn out much better :smokingbo
This weekend found me smoking many a NC due to the fact that I had so many yet to try. The 40th Anniversary being one of them. I've always been enamored by Padron back in the day and prided myself for being loyal to a brand that often shied away from the marketing/gimmicky type cigars. Well I...
Gene, you're killing me with the Jubes.....1 box, unopened. I need to find a 5'er or two LOL!
Haven't had a churchill in a while but maybe I'll just have a PL Lonsdale (Regional). Thanks for the tips!
Here's some info if you're interested in learning more about the cigar...

Some stores here didn;t sell out either.....everyone that has a blackberry are waiting to hear about the tactile screen keyboard on the iPhone. I can't see it being better than a berry's qwerty keyboard IMO. Sure you might get used to it but I'm hooked to my berry's keyboard. I love the full...
The Taco was surprisingly mild in nicotine strength.....medium bodied in flavor. Smooth and refined. A definitely unique flavor profile for an H.Upmann. This is one cigar that will become a great cigar in another few years.
Relaxing on the back deck with nary a person around. Many have taken off for the shore leaving the surrounds just as I like it.....peaceful and quiet. The sun is beginning to set and the birds are frolicking around, chirping away. Gorged myself 30mins ago on a T-bone accompanied by and...
Yeah, I'm beginning to think I should have ponied up a few extra bucks for the Blue label instead....a far better stick than Old Henry. Funny you mentioned the dry boxing...that probably woudl have helped although it has been sitting in my singles humi at 65%RH for a few weeks now. Others...
A little background on the cigar and setting. Tonight I took a break from my usual darkside treats and decided to fire up an Old Henry Toro I had sitting around for a few months. I figured it had enough time to acclimate and being a product of Jose "Pepin" Garcia, I knew the construction would...
There are some decent pricing on these but even at those attractive prices, I'm passing......tempting to sock these away to age but honestly, there are a lot more other cigars that hold my interest.
Missing boxcode stamps alone is not indicative of fakes. I have had 2 boxes (an H. Upmann and Partagas) box that had no boxcode stamp but were perfectly legit. "It's Cuba"
As a whole, that is the first and most obvious red flag. The second red flag would be the incorrect red font on the...
Both bands were commonly used. During 2000-2004 it was more common to find the gold/red colored band. More recent production use the red/gold colored band as well. There's no rhyme or reason as to why these are used differently AFAIK.
This was a beautiful dark and oily lonsdale rolled by Taboada himself in July 2006. The blend requested was that of the Bolivar Gold Medal. Having smoked a few new production BGM's myself, I knew that this wouldn't be the same. After tonight, I'm not so sure that's a bad thing.
The stick was...
