• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

BOTL Gives Back - Operation Esteli, 2014

This is easily the coolest thing I've ever seen done on this board. Thanks to E, BradMC and MDwest and whomever else was involved in putting this together. When a group of us visited Esteli a few months back and spent a few days at My Father, I was absolutely awe struck by the things that...

Can Cigar Smokers Get Life Insurance

I'm in the process of switching Life carriers. I disclosed my smoking to Northwestern Mutual Life when I got the policy a couple years ago. My rates are high. I came to find out recently the Prudential is one of the only ones left that rates "occasional" cigar smokers as non-smokers. So I'm...

2014 Tatuaje Black CG in the Jar

The jar price and the 19 stick plain bundle price is the same. Actually, the Jar's are cheaper at certain retailers already mentioned than the sticks were on their own when they came out a while back. LOL.

Never. Has nothing to do with aging them to fix it and has everything to do with what was going in in the Habano's industry at that very time and the quality of product they put out.

    Total Gym?

I am a P90X guy (currently doing the new X3). IMO, you can get the same or better results with dedication, P90X (1, 2 or 3), a set of adjustable dumbells and a chin up bar. That's as much equipment as you need. You would be amazed how much work you can accomplish using nothing but your own...

    Cigar Rep.

Don't forget it's a sales job...you need to have a sales mentality and probably some experience in that. One of old LFD's VP's told me a while back, he preferred a very strong sales person with no actual background in cigars. You can teach someone about products to sell, but if they are not...

    Shopping for a new router

I tried one as well with the same result. Once I read up, it made sense. Repeaters have to bounce the signal back and forth to the router across the same wifi channel, basically cutting available bandwidth in half. So slightly improved signal but less speed. An AP runs it through the cable...

    Shopping for a new router

There's a huge difference between an extender/repeater and hardwiring to a second router as an access point (as I learned in researching). Repeaters have inherent problems that AP's do not. Repeaters/extenders basically halve your bandwidth whereas a second access point does not. The drawback...

    Shopping for a new router

I've got a similar problem in that my router is in my office which is the extreme corner of the house. Barely any signal upstairs in our bedroom on the opposite side of the house. The most popular recommendation I've received in a few places is just to get another inexpensive router, hard wire...
