  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    I lost a bunch of data once.....once...Never again. All pics and docs stored on my iMac's internal drive, which backs up to a Time Machine image hourly. Then the main HD is copied to an external drive every night. Then that drive backs up to a second external drive on a different power...

    So...the mini wort will just ferment and use the O2 introduced in the transfer. Interesting... I've just been using CO2. Shoot a blanket of it into either the secondary or a barrel or keg. Since it's heavier than air, that blanket just sits there during the transfer. Adam to your question...

    Been meaning to ask about these ozone generators. Ozone, if I can smell it, gives me an instant headache. So do you run that thing when you're in the car? Can't run it when the car is off cause there's no power to the outlet right?

    I use a Bobken...I spend a lot of time on the road and the bobken just hangs on the window so the smoke gets pulled out and minimizes the cigar stench leftover in the car as much as possible.

    I could see this filtering to some extent...but what about the smell? I would think the fan suction power is significantly reduced by basically blocking the side with the filter. Love to see a video of it in action.
