BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Welcome & thank you for your service! The Acids will stink up your other cigars - put them in a separate container or zip-lock unless you want all of your sticks smelling like herbal-botanical-sweet-fruit-syrup... Blah... Don't get me wrong - Drew makes excellent cigars & smoke what you love...

Verite futures available

We smoked quite a few of the 09 Churchills & Robustos in Nica last year, I even smoked the 08 & 09 churchills at the same time to compare. IMO, the V09 is one of the greatest sticks to ever come from Pepin & Pete. I'll take some more of that 'kool-aid' any day of the week.

Anthony Bourdain visits Nicaragua

It looks like Anthony stayed in the same hotel that we did - I admit to getting a small charge seeing some familiar streets/murals/buildings. I felt the same way though - I felt bad for a lot of the people. On the other hand, I can understand why some people (like in the show No Reservations)...

Fausto by Tatuaje - It's the T110 Blend

I smoked one (robusto) in October 2010 when Pete came around & thought it was excellent! Very rich & smelled fantastic - surprisingly it wasn't a 'head-wrecker' either. Very smooth, but didn't 'kill the tongue'. I can't wait to try all the vitolas!

Square Press Vs. Box Press

The term 'square press' bothers me. Have you ever seen a square cigar? The closest to it would be the end of a AF Shark. All 'factory pressed' cigars I've seen are in fact rectangular. Sorry - small pet peeve... I think there may be something to the factory press - marrying the flavors between...

If the shoe fits! - Lol! You must have been where I picked it up! Nector of the gods just cracks me up - if you get a bit of that on your tongue - it is FOUL!!! The fix for me has always been to cut a little more off & purge, then smoke it a little slower. Works every time!!!

Tar Build Up

I'm not sure what causes this, though based on personal experience, I suspect it has to do with draw method (and what is, I'm sure some additional factors like stated above). My reasoning is that my wife & I often smoke cigars in the evening & she has the 'tar' experience ('nector of the Gods'...

Mike Destefano RIP

Sunday night a member of my 'extended family' passed due to a massive heart attack. He was truly an inspiration - a great guy, an extremely funny guy. A lot of us & our friends were hit really hard by his passing: if you pray: send your well-wishes to his family & loved ones! I thought this...
