BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

My uncle's pipes and tools
Lots of great threads on cleaning and restoring. Unless the stem is chewed through, they can be cleaned as well. Show off your Zippos
It is indeed! Second generation, 1947-1949 (first had a one step base, and was slightly larger, third used a standard sized insert in the base). No markings on the case, "Zippo" is stamped on the insert along with the patent number, which is how you can date it. I collect table lighters...- omahaorange

Road trip
Just have to say made the trip to Altoona today and stopped here on the way home. Picked a few sticks, talked the guy behind the counter, and had a short smoke while the women explored the downtown area. Definitely gonna be a stop on subsequent trips. Thanks for the tip.- omahaorange

Nice. About every six weeks the wife and I make a run up to Blair Candy Co in Altoona; it about an hour or so from home. They have a small walk-in with decent selection, and good prices on bulk candy and snacks. Friendly staff, and they know a thing or two about cigars. No place to smoke...- omahaorange
