• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I didn't realize the Mata fina wrapper would be as light as it is. The filler was so dark, I just assumed the wrapper would be as well. I may have to order a sample of that...

Today's the day I'm lighting up @TheReMixologist hand roll. Happy Labor Day all! 30 minutes in: I believe this one is called Verde Crema, and that's a perfect name for this creamy green smoke!

I think this is dependent on the ring gauge, the wrapper selection, and the blend. Keeping all leaf counts the same, I tried an experiment were I swapped binder and wrapper on the same blend to see if there was an impact. From my notes, I always preferred the ones wrapped in seco, the ligero...

I've forgotten most of the high school vocabulary I had learned. I'm hoping to regain some as my kids move through the public education system. I also hope English hasn't changed as much as math did...

    Here goes nothing.

I don't know how damp/dry your filler was while bunching, but when I started, I spritzed the filler leaves as well as the binder and wrapper. I don't do that anymore. When I sprayed the filler leaves, the draw would be too tight until weeks later when it finally dried through to the center. At...

True, I think the lesson learned is that I should have a cigar ready, even when I don't plan to smoke one.
