• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How long for police to respond to accident?

So 30 minutes after calling 911, we are still sitting roadside waiting for the police. How long have you guys waited? And I didn't even bring a cigar since we are in my wife's van with every one....

Man I'm in the same boat. There is so much patient work on display with these, it seems a crime to fire them up!

I tried dry boxing early on but since I'm always adding moisture to my humidor, I figured I'd skip the dry box. Put the newly rolled sticks in the humi and kill two birds with one stone. The only disclaimer I need to add here is after seeing Blake roll bunches dry, I've not been adding any...

It's a thought but I have more leaf than I can justify already. It's just all so good right now! The T13 viso, the mata fina, the Cibao Valley varieties, the corojos (are the Nicaraguan ?), the piloto cubano seco, ligero, and volado....but so far none of these are Nicaraguan so even if I were to...

That's funny, I was class 9303-T in NFAS, 9306 in NNPS, and I don't remember if prototype had a class number but I was the second to last class out in Idaho.

    Here goes nothing.

You pretty much tear a strip of paper and apply it like a tight wrapper leaf. Tape the end and then let it sit for a few hours. I'll get some pics on my next session....

    Cigar inspiration

My first cigar was after graduating Power School in Orlando. A buddy had bought a pair and wanted to smoke em as a graduation celebration. My next one was 6 months later when we graduated from Prototype in Idaho Falls. That was 1993 and 1994. My next cigar was in Aruba on my honeymoon, 2003...

Definitely start with newspaper strips, thats my favorite mold. You can bunch tapered perfectos or straight parejos. Paper strips are very versatile. Don't forget to share pics of those homerolls!

I'm loving that T13 viso. I haven't tried it with the piloto leaf yet but will have to soon. That along with the Honduran sounds interesting... I enjoy it with the Cibao Valley Vuelta Abajo Seco bound in the Dom Olor seco. Just as you said, the T13 is small, so maybe 3 or 4 leaves to the one...

I'm giving the T13 viso a whirl in the wrapper position...it's thin and flexible, a little stretchy, and tasty. Since viso is supposed to be the aroma, I'm thinking it may be a great wrapper leaf...

Antique Dunhill Standing Cigar Ashtray - Restoration Questions

I've used PB Blaster with much success in removing rusty bolts in the garage. At best it only needs a few minutes. I have had to let some sit overnight too (some car parts are rusted together very thoroughly). Sometimes a little heat from a torch helps too. I wonder if bead blasting would help...

I'm digging the T13 viso at the moment.... Its not a pepper blast but rather a flavorful spice to me.

Is the Esteli ligero spicy like a pepper blast, or like kitchen spices of some sort?
