BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I have two wooden molds. I don't use either. I use strips of newspaper. Assuming you take the time to fill the wooden molds properly, they'll make a prettier uniform cigars. So I think this was an effort back in November 2016 to make a lancero. It's the same blend as the one I submitted to BMP, equal parts Nic ligero and Nic seco. Blending Thread
So I'm out of the old corojo seco but still have some corojo viso. Figured I'd try a new blend of Piloto seco, corojo viso, and Piloto ligero. Bound with WLT Dom binder. Smoking this stick that is maybe 13 hours old while drinking a Yuengling traditional lager. They seem to work well...- Jim D

creating a smooth blend
My smoke today was a smooth one. It sat in the humidor for 4 months. This was 1 Criollo Ligero, 1 Corojo Viso, 1 Corojo Seco, and a strip of CTBL filler. Cap or no Cap
I've skipped the cap numerous times, I even tried skipping the glue (because I didn't want to mix another batch for the last couple rolls of the night). You can look up an amortization calculator online to see the effects of extra payments. Early on in our mortgage we inherited some cash. Putting $10,000 on the pricipal of the loan saved $40,000 over the life of the loan. That's better than any stock pick I've made...- Jim D

We opted to go with the 30yr mortgage but pay extra principal every month to payoff in 15 years. This gave us some flexibility in case we wanted to put the money in something else down the road without being locked in at higher payments.- Jim D
