• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Partagas 898 vs 898v

I guess I have only had the 898v then about 6.5x42, what size are the regular 898s? edit: NM, the 898 is a little bit shorter, I found one in the bottom of my Humi. Thanks

    Partagas 898 vs 898v

I picked up a partagas 898 varnished from fairly recent production and was impressed, great smoke. Better than other 898s I have had. Aren't the 898s and the 898Vs the exact same cigar? Just a different box correct....

    Cabaiguan Maduro?

They have that Maduro sweetness, but I still taste the Cab in them. I think they are OK, not great FYI, I do not think the La Requezas are Maduros, just dark conneticut broad leaf. I have about the same opinion on these, good but not great, but the few I have had seemed to have construction...

Confusing results with hygro calibration - possible answer

Interesting, I have yet to use an analog that worked, you can try and calibrate them, but it seems like they never stay, I have found the digital to be much more accurate.

    is a swimmer an athlete

LOL, I am sure my wife would say that too... I see what you are saying, but because of the training and dedication it takes, I consider them first class athletes. I wont be going to swim meats or anything, but they work hard at what they do.

    Oliva Blue bands

The only blue bands I remember were cloth, I dont remember seeing any paper blue ones, I think I still have the box my blue bands came in, I will look and see what it says on it, I thought they were serie O Bold or something.

Primed Cigars - Wonka Golden Ticket

It is very easy to tell the two appart allthough they look similar in some pictures, mold is fuzzy, plume is crystals. I do not think it looks like a stain on the wrapper at all, I have seen alot of cigars that have plume, and it is usually almost clear, but still slightly white until it really...

Primed Cigars - Wonka Golden Ticket

Yep, pics could be better, the one on the left is almost white in person and the one on the right has much more plume than you can pick up in the picture, but notice the even coating of white crystals, instead of the white dots on your sticks. Common mistake, years ago a cigar shop told me some...
