• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Scotch and cigars

Go with a Speyside then....as I find Highlands (at least the ones I've tried) still have some of the peaty characteristics of the Islays...although not nearly as intense. Glenlivet, or Macallan, or as others have mentioned the Balvenie or Glenfiddich.

    Scotch and cigars

Would help to know what the 21 YO Scotch you were gifted was. Assume it was an Islay....cause if a 21 year Speyside or Highland was too strong, Scotch may not be what you're looking for. Macallan 12 was the one I found to enjoy the most (and happen to enjoy even still) when I first...

It's not every day you're approached about a Non-cuban for cuban trade...so when this one hit me, I didn't blink. Box code on the 18 Sir Winstons left in this box is ARO NOV 2008, and I smoked one from it prior to agreeing to the trade on Halloween...and it was excellent. Curios when Habanos...

    Beer O da day!

1st 6'er of the Sierra Nevada Celebration gone......and it was as good as I remember. Just picked up 2 more 6'ers tonight for $6.88 a piece.....and drinking another now. You hop lovers that have access to this stuff.....don't think there's a better deal out there right now. Although I do...

    Construction / Quality ?

Like Justin...I too had some VERY consistent issues w/ smoking ccs early on. My theory anyway....is that I was receiving pretty much every cuban i'd smoke via trade. And while I'm not saying they were fakes, or they were "gray market, or simply discount smokes (which there are many still...

    Montecristos

I enjoy the Petit Edmundo almost as much as I have been the Monte 2's (got a few left from 03, a few from 06, and then 2009s and some 2010s). And I prefer both the PE & the 2 to the Monte Grand Edmundo 2010, which costs 3 times as much as the PE, and twice as much as the 2. That's just part of...

    Cuban vs Non Cuban

Every time I've seen this question raised the "cubans cost more" issue is brought up. If youre paying B&M prices for cc's (say in Canada or other local foreign markets) and comparing that to say online prices of NCs that might be true...but as a blanket statement, that couldn't be further from...

    Beer O da day!

Interesting....have had several voodoo doughnut bacon maple bars (which are amazing on their own)...but didn't realize Rogue had made them into a beer. Voodoo D. has a cult following and has been on some culinary show (I.e. Diners, Drive-ins, and dives), but didn't realize a brew was being...

    Beer O da day!

Picked up my 1st 6'er of Sierra Nevada Celebration....and had a few walking around tonight w/ the kid as I smoked an 08 Sir Winston... I'll be buying more Celebration.......(and i'll be smoking more Sir Winstons :)! Happy Halloween!

    Beer O da day!

Yup....definitely can see that. Just finishing off the bottle now, and it's definitely growing on me already. The sour cherries, and the oak really come through, and I don't think I would avoid buying again....but not sure I'd seek it out right away either. Next up....Saison Dupont Belgian...

    Beer O da day!

Pumpkin carving night..... Startin'er off w/ a Russian River Supplication.....and after the first few sips I can't tell if I'm drinking wine, or beer...lol. My first real experience w/ a sour though, so have to guess this is one of those "acquired tastes" type things... Interesting to say...

    Ask and ye shall receive

Good luck to you on your hunt Chris.....I found my Vino 28 on Craiglist over a year ago and haven't looked back. Got some nice drawers for singles, and with room leftover for boxes. They make a damn nice humi IMO!

    Don't touch my head...

Just saw this and found it pretty hilarious. The music certainly makes it funnier....but I'd love to phuck w/ Beltre too if he was my teammate based on this video..lol. Adrian Beltre does not like being touched on the head! - YouTube

What's smoking great now, and what isn't?

Curious as to what you guys are smoking that are currently performing great for you....as well as those that need the all too familiar "more time in the humi" to either come around, or perhaps even those you don't have any hope for. Thought this thread would be a good way for others to see...

    Beer O da day!

Started w/ a Spaten Oktoberfest...and now onto a Port Brewing High Tide Fresh Hopped IPA...heavier on the pine than the citrus, but not too shabby.

You Upmann Ho you!!...lol. Very nice Angelo. Smoke one you buy and hide bastard, and let the good people know how they smokes! Hopefully better than those Mag 48s did...although maybe it was just me who didn't care for those. :dunno:

    Beer O da day!

I really enjoy this one...the WTF and the little sumpin sumpin are prolly my two favorites from Lagunitas. Hop stoopid would round out the top 3. I just wish they would make em by six packs like they do the sumpin sumpin and I'd buy em' a lot more than I do currently.
