• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Beer O da day!

Yup...I'll definitely hit up Johns then soon Dude! For me tonight...a couple Steins of Ayinger Celebrator on draft at a German restaurant. Never had before, but it was excellent...especially with my schnitzel!

    Beer O da day!

Have you been to Belmont Station Dude? I've been meaning to go to John's and have heard good things, but I do a lot, if not most of my specialty brew shopping at Belmont. http://belmont-station.com/

    Top 5 favorite beers...(regular & limited)

Not surprising..... Out of all the non-limited lists...only three beers have been on more than one list: DFH 90 Min, Bells Two-Hearted, and Arrogant Bastard. Damn nice call on the Oaked AB btw...that's a helluva beer!

    Top 5 favorite beers...(regular & limited)

Had the Bernadus 12, and a few Ommegang offerings (3 Phils & Hennepin)....all very good. Had the 3 Phils in the largest quantity, and enjoy it. The Trappistes and Chimay have been high on my list for a while now...and will do the Chimay tasting over the Holidays and make a fun night out of...

    Top 5 favorite beers...(regular & limited)

Well here's mine...actually this is invoking more thought than I had anticipated...LOTS of beers to think through! The regular were harder than the limited, as I just don't drink all that much limited stuff (due to access I guess, and partly price as well)... Regular: Bear Republic Racer 5...

    Top 5 favorite beers...(regular & limited)

You see the "top 5, 10" threads etc for cigars all the time. Never seen one here for brews...and w/ all the craft brew, BOTL'O beer project fever going around lately, I thought this would be interesting....not to mention difficult, due to all the different styles not to mention the quality of...

    Breakfast Stouts

Keep your eyes peeled for Great Divide Stouts...out of Colorado They don't have much that would fall into the "Breakfast Stout" category I don't think....but they do have an Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout that is excellent. Overall, they just do great Stouts IMO (only style I buy...

Gonna go w/ a big +1 on this as well... I don't reach for Rogue anymore when in the stores...but I wouldn't hesitate to pick em' up at the garage sale you mentioned. Prices at those events are crazy good! A buddy of mine and I split about 5-6 cases on different stuff last year from their...

Nice haul... Love the Dead guy, and the Chocolate Stout (if you've got a nice Liga Privada 9 or T52 those pair VERY nice w/ this one...or any nice maddie for that matter).... Always fun to see the BOTL'O beers showing up on other doorsteps as well. Very cool!

Have you tried it yet Matt? Wondering how heavy it is on the maple & the sweetness, and if you can pick up the bacon notes at all?

    Alpine Duet & Nelson IPAs

This one's more for the Cali BOTLs....as I assume the distribution of these beers might be limited. Haven't been able to track these down here locally yet like I have like pretty much every other Cali offering (including the more limited stuff like Pliny etc.). How do these two hold up when...

    The BOTL O'Beer Project

Very grateful for being part of the 1st inaugural release.....and the concept here, as well as the BOTL collaboration, makes this all the more awesome IMO. So great work guys, and nice recipe here Adam. As I shared w/ Jeremy via PM, this brew was very unique compared to most West Coast IPAs...

Ghosts of Habanos Past, Present, and Future...

Inspired by the Holiday season, and the pursuit of new & interesting threads to read... What are the Habanos that fit in each category for you? Past - smoked and loved & would like to revisit Present - new found favorite Future - something you haven't tried but have plans to remedy at...

    Beer O da day!

Nice! I found this to have the most "floral" hop taste to any beer I've tried....and I rather enjoyed it!

    Fifty Best Beers!

I've only had but 15 from this list, so it appears I've got some work to do. Many of the ones I tried wouldn't even make my own top 50 (i.e. Alaskan Smoked Porter, Stone Self Righteous, and Bells Two Hearted ... Although Bells overlooked Hopslam offering certainly would). There's gonna be tons...

Nice Angelo....lmk know how their regular offering is. Only had the Christmas ale that you sent me way back when. I need to make it over to the specialty beer market to pick some of the Christmas ale up...still got the goblet that came in that gift pack and use it often.
