• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I really like what Erik Espinosa has been doing at La Zona. 601s are great budget smokes. Laranja Reserves are good. Casa Fernandez can be good too. La Palina and Warped. I visited Don Giolito's place, Fumare, in Reno. His house blends are off the hook! All the others mentioned above. It's an...

Caldwell and Lost & Found cigars. Relabeling old cigars?

After listening to the video for a half hour, I wonder how one goes about running a fledgling, growing company and, at the same time, flying around the world and partying all the time. No offense to Mr. Caldwell, but he gives me the impression of being a quick-buck-artist. I've never tried his...

Okay, man. The cat's out of the bag! You smoke a lot of damn good cigars. Would you mind putting a rating simply 1-10 on each cigar? LOL! I'd like to know what's smoking well.

    65%-70% Conumdrum

So do you think ambient temperature can have an effect on a cigar? Will a cigar stored at 65% rH and, say, 72 degrees smoke different than a cigar stored at 70% rH and, say, 55 degrees? Perhaps that's the difference? Thanks for the input. BTW, I had the good fortune to be at a bar on the lower...

    65%-70% Conumdrum

So this afternoon I smoked a Davidoff Nicaraguan toro from the 65% humidor--last night I smoked a Davidoff Winston Churchill robusto from same humidor. Last night the cigar burned hot and dry. This led me to think there was something wrong with 65% humidity. However, the Davidoff today smoked...

    65%-70% Conumdrum

I maintain two storage containers, a Tupperdor and a humidor. I keep the Tupperdor at 70%, and the humidor--150 count--at 65% with Heartfelt beads. To be honest, the 70% Tupperdor cigars smoke and taste better than the cigars I keep at 65% in the classic humidor. Now I've heard a lot of guys...

    Boli PC today

They're a classic, and absolutely one of the finest cigars on the planet. I smoked one ROTT. Way too young. Another five months later, starting to come around. Gonna wait now till the end of the summer for the third.

    Interesting Take on Embargo

Honestly, if Raul and Fidel Castro are serious about those terms of agreement, it won't happen until they're both dead. There is no way the American taxpayer will allow our government to pay reparations for the embargo. Even the whole Guantanamo Bay thing is ridiculous. That is our base and we...

    Boli PC today

Lol! No worries. They're cheap and delicious. After 5 months they're a lot better, but by fall they will be smoky graham crackers!!! The one I smoked last weekend really floored me. Bolivars are nice and strong. Your wrappers look darker than mine, so those are really gonna kick. Patience is a...
