I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
Brewed an Irish Red on Monday and finishing up my second batch of NE IPA now. Already down to the last keg of the first batch it's crazy how fast people blew through this. It's damn near as fresh as when it was first tapped!
Beautiful color on the red...
^ Spot on. I sort of recommend a mix of the 2. Get an idea of where you should be then eat at maintenance for a couple weeks. Helps get you used to tracking things and dials in what your actual baseline is before trying to cut calories.
You make a good point as it mostly boils down to your metabolism. Ectomorphs aka hard gainers have really fast metabolisms and need more calories to maintain or gain weight. Like 3k-4K daily compared to the ~2k that works for most people. They're lucky in that they can also lose weight on a...
Agreed. My point is you can't just make macronutrient adjustments and expect good results. You can eat 0 carbs every day and still gain weight if your taking in more calories than your body uses up. Reminds me of a buddy of mine that tried Atkins and thought he could eat buffalo wings almost...
You may shed some water weight and slim up a bit but to lose body fat you need to be in a caloric deficit. I prefer to eat a moderately low amount of carbs but its really whatever works for you. Whether thats the keto or caveman diet, ultimately its about eating less calories than your body...
Tatuaje can get confusing but the info on their website is pretty helpful. Its usually little differences though like the Havana VI Verocu in the Red Label being broadleaf, or the Reservas mostly being broadleaf while the regular Brown label comes wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano or Corojo 99...
It's used as a color identifier but more so it's a process. Double maduro generally means they used a maduro binder as well as wrapper. IIRC I believe most cigar tobacco is double if not triple fermented.
Not exactly. I bulk, maintain, and cut weight eating the same foods and for the most part the same macronutrient proportions. The variable I tweak is calorie intake. I've used this to lose 40lb, bulk up 15lb, and cut another 10. Calorie intake is important.
Sort of. Connecticut shade is grown for wrapper AFAIK. But, with any plant not all the leaves are going to end up being in good enough shape to use as wrapper. The better stuff gets used as binder and the rest for filler.
