After reading that entire article, the thing that stuck out the most was "11 more years" of Fox US Open coverage. Yikes.

Is Fox covering ANY other golf, or just the Open every year? If that's the case, seems like a ridiculous decision to grant the showpiece event for the USGA to essentially a crew of amateurs.

Think they have the USGA contract. US Amateur, Womens US Open, etc...

That's the other huge problem with FOX. They only have a few USGA tournaments a year--not a single PGA event--to iron out the kinks. I don't expect FOX coverage of U.S. Open to improve for years. NBC had it down to a science.
