BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

On auctioneer? Availability tends to change weekly there. I also some that were really cheap on ebay, but I wasn't sure of their legitimacy. May want to tread carefully there, but it may be the cheapest source.

So, was getting ready to send @JG358 a PM and what pops up? A Boveda advertisement, so I click on it, and i'm searching for 62%........I don't see any, so I click on the "for larger humidors" link, still no 62%, so I click on the drop down menu, and the lowest they go is 65%........did they discontinue 62's?Hey, you asked for cheapest....

Boveda's site......I was speaking to the BMP's peeps and they told me that 62% is basically for weed, but it doesn't really matter, so might just order a bunch of 62's and use them for my cigars ha

Most cigar places don't list the 62s because they're typically used for a different variety of smoke.
I have a Waxing Moon 150 count humidor. It keeps perfect humidity now that warmer temps and higher ambient humidity has returned to MN. I have tossed every other humidity product out and gone to strictly Boveda. I have a SensorPush hygrometer. It is similar to the Boveda unit. My sensor is reading nuts on the the RH rating of the Boveda packs. I mean, nuts on all the time.
First, recalibrate your hygrometer. Your Boveda sensor should have come with a calibration kit. Make syre the unit is able to get air cirulated thriugh ant air holes of the sensing unit.

ANSWER: No, wiping down the inside of a wooden humidor before you add Boveda 84% RH for seasoning will delay effective seasoning. When you wipe down the inside of a wooden humidor with a sponge saturated with distilled water, the moisture level on the surface of the humidor’s interior will spike to 100%. Add Boveda 84% RH and Boveda will detect that 100% moisture level. Boveda will first go into absorb mode to bring the moisture level down to 84% RH. (This will add 2 to 4 days to the Boveda 14-day seasoning method.) After that, Boveda will push moisture all the way through the porous wood—deep down into its cells, not just on its surface. Best to just toss in Boveda 84% RH into a dry humidor and let it work on its own—no need to rain on its parade.
