Another question along the way. I'd like to get in touch with someone from each of the major vendors of the tobacco leaf that all of you use to roll cigars. Besides WLT and LO, are there any other established vendors that you buy from?

Also, if you have contact info for anyone from these vendors, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I will get these shipped out in the next week or two after they dry out a little and stabilize. Thank you for putting in the legwork for this!

So it's official. Yes, I am a space case. I taped up your box and entirely forgot to take any pictures.

Two submissions:

The perfectos are Uppowoc Matalotos.
  • One leaf Brazilian Mata Fina from WLT
  • One leaf Piloto Cubano from WLT
  • The same half leaf Ecuadorian shade grown Habano Ligero provides both the binder (inner half of the leaf) and the wrapper (outer edge of the leaf). Leaf from LO
This is not your classic Uppowoc Mataloto, which used Habano 2000 wrapper/binder from WLT ... but I only have five of those left, and that crop of H2K wrapper is no longer available, so I'm Bogarting those bad boys. These were rolled last August.

The parejos are Uppowoc Orolojos. Try saying that five times fast... and remember to roll your Rs. They go like so:
  • two leaves corojo seco from WLT
  • one leaf Dominican olor, from LO
  • one half leaf Habano 2000 from WLT
They were rolled just a couple weeks ago; so they can stand to dry out a bit. I put dry scraps in that baggie to help absorb water, and damp scraps in the other to do the other way round.

Simple blends are best, I think.

I'll post a tracking number Monday.

Here's some pics.

My stash of Olorojos... just about ready to go on the stash shelf here in a couple days, after they dry out a drop or two:

And here's my stash of Matalotos. Lookin a little lumpy, this batch. Just opened them after five months on the shelf. Smoked one last night. Kicked my ass. I wish I still had access to the old H2K. Way better taste and laid smoother on the bunch.

Enjoy!

Quick update: Things are going well and we have a good number of submissions, although It's always good to have more brothers involved. Talking to you @Hopduro :)

I have received sticks from @webmost and @Jim D - Sorry I haven't posted pics yet. I will do that as soon as I can. Remember, the deadline is January 31st, so you still have time to submit sticks for review if you haven't already. Thanks again for participating!
