  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I imaging folks get a little upset with the lack of follow up here and the way this was handled on the board. You did however have control over keeping in contact in this thread and getting things together before making the offer. Just my .02c.

I hope Cesar gets his issues together and that you do better in your future offerings.

Steve said it best. Never make promises you can't keep! Just my 2 cents worth!

Well I am sorry to report that due to personal issues Cesar was not able to ship the samples last week as he told me he would do in our meeting. Now this week has not returned my emails or calls.

As originally promised I never contacted any of the B&M shops that I was given information on and won't until I get the reviews up. If you don't believe me feel free to call them yourselves to see if I have.

Somehow this free offer has generated a good deal of undue animosity toward me, emails and comments such as: "I really wish you were actually not a jerk." are out of line as I have been nothing but honest.

Please understand I was asked to offer this specifically to you here at BOTL by Cesar. I have no control over him or the rate he chooses to ship the samples, but I have never let up in my pressing him to complete this. When we last discussed it I was told they were wrapped, mellowed, and he was buying tubes to ship them.

Nothin' but love for the BROTHERS.

Marketing & Sales Bariay Cigars

Jeff, I have to point out that it takes only a few seconds of your time to pop in and say hey...there's been a delay. I appreciate that you have taken the time now to say hey...there's been a delay but it's a bit late. You are in marketing & sales so you have to understand that coming online to promote Bariay has backfired. You could have saved our conception of Bariay by stopping in every so often to become a regular and we would have had something other than our own conclusions to go off of.

I wish you luck and hope the best for Bariay.

Gentlemen, this isn't the first time nor will it be the last time this will happen. Who here knows about being BOOYAH'D? This is an inside joke to be sure but this stuff happens and as I said, it wont be the last. If you have a product you want people to know about and want their opinion on then at least have the product ready to be sent out,,period. There is nothing like a group of cigar hungry dudes waiting to be teased with these little teasers.

I am in complete agreement.

To all BOTL's: I have traded emails with Jeff in the last several hours, and he has be fastidious in his approach to me. I will not receive a cigar sample, as I was well after the 24th reply.

I will be urging caution to the B&M I recommended for him to contact. I am in marketing and sales myself, and would conclude that the lack of contact breeds animosity (woohoo, I just stated the obvious).

I would request of the BOTL's to present an UNBIASED review of the cigars after you receive them. This is a common courtesy for any manufacturer of a consumable product. However, I would also hope that you do the same as I will with the B&M you recommended he contact.

To Jeff: I apologize that this post is not in favor of your dealings. However, I would suggest that, should you market and sell a reputable commodity, that you follow up with due diligence and provide only the highest levels of communication and customer service to anyone you do have the pleasure of selling your product to.

PLEASE understand that the BOTL's here range from manufacturers to businessmen to law enforcement officers to (whatever) professionals, not to mention B&M owners. We hold each other to a high standard of conduct in business dealings and expect nothing but exceptional service from any vendor we engage in business with. You have some make-up to do in reparation for your poor communication, and have a phenomenal opportunity to present a quality product. I, too, hope that you are able to maintain this level of service and have the best wishes for the Briary line of cigars.
