I'm guessing that your humidor needs some more seasoning, but it seems to be okay--perhaps it will get to a better rH in a couple weeks.

My concern for you is that it will be VERY dry there soon once winter sets in, so it is good for you to be trying to get this under control now.

Report back here in a couple weeks if the problem has not been resolved.

4 days ago, I makers water their beads
they were transparent. At the 4-day humidity has been 70%, but now in case glass beads, which were in open space and in contact with air, were white and 67% humidity. Could be so that the beads control the humidity just as their top layer in contact with air, transparent?

Keep beads 75% Clear / 25% white. Check 1 time every 7-10 days. You will be OK.

I live in Las Vegas, and I have a hugh prblem keeping my Humidors above 60%.

I hop when we close on the new house, and I build the walk-in, I can regulate the humidity better.

Explain that you have because:
Check 1 time every 7-10 days
Wheel every 7-10 days??
Just a feeling that beads are through the window in the case in contact with the air dry and the humidity drops, and deep in the case might transparent glass beads ...

The more area of the breads that are open to the air the better. Soem guys yse a large pan in the bottom of their humis.

My beads are in the case on the lid humidor. In case two windows. When these windows (for 3-5 days after filling) beads are white, the humidity falls. I do not think it should be. Maybe bead work only on the surface - where they are through the windows closest to the air? How can I fix this: who takes cases with beads??

Just throwing this out to the group...not sure if its helpful at this point, as things seem to be headed in the right direction, but I read/write fluent Russian (undergrad/grad degree in Russian Lang./Lit. as well as almost five years living in country).

In other words, if its easier for some of our international members just to write in Russian, go nuts...
