This weekend, I tried the Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre and Aprihop. I was a little disappointed in both. The Raison was really sweet, and not much complexity in flavor. I guess I was expecting just a little more from it. The Aprihop was a great IPA.

Notice, that's all I said about Aprihop; I couldn't taste anything from the apricot addition. All I could get was the great slightly spicy, piney hop flavor. I tried really hard, too, to pull some apricot from profile.

Big beer day. Celebrating Ben's new position at Drew Estate's while watching the NCAA Championship. Had some Dark Lord, Firestone Walker's 15th and Firestone Walker's Sucaba. Thanks Ben, Mike and Matt!

I tried a couple of my homebrews. I brewed up two experiments in the past month and couldn't wait to try them. They were only in the bottle a week but I think they show nice promise. Not sure whether or not I'll brew either again but they certainly don't suck.

Tallgrass is one of my local breweries. What did you think of 8-bit?
We usually get most of their offerings (what's legal) in our state. I liked it, a lot of citrus on the nose... lemon and orange peel taste. Very good and seemed to get better as it warmed for me.
