WB the supplication has cherries added and is aged in pinot noir barrels if I remember correctly. It is freaking delicios. Just ordered some Damnation batch 23 oak aged, so will see how that is.

Got some Pliney the Elder chilling in the fridge for today/tonight. Need to drink it while it's still pretty fresh.

No picture to post but today is week 4 of my home brew Dark Ale. I get to finally test it. Week 2 tasted very raw.

Went up to Lake Placid Brewery today for their Oktoberfest and stopped at Saratoga Brewery/Mendocino Brewery a mile from my house on the way home and picked up some Imperial Stout. Great day of beer drinking and seeing some fall foliage.

Deschutes Abyss..

Very comparable in quality to the Founders KBS, but this is indeed it's own animal. Considerably more woody(oak) notes to this one, along with more of a burnt caramel taste...and slightly more hoppiness to this one on the finish, yet still has the heavy coffee & chocolate there as well.

Damn...I'll be sad when I'm completely out of these two beers.

Deschutes 23rd Anni XXIII..

Intended to get to this one yesterday, but after the Abyss, KBS, and a few others I was already in a happy place.

This too is a nice beer...can actually pick up the citrus in it. Not as robust in flavor as the KBS or Abyss, but thats not necessarily a bad thing.
