I was drinking some New Glarus beers last night. The were solid brews for sure. However they are hyped up, and I unfortunately didn't get to try any of their sours.

Then I had a De Proef and Terrapin collaboration brew called Monstre Rouge. It wasn't good. My buddy and I tried to find something good about the beer but it fell short on so many levels. Plain old Rodenbach bottles blow this attempt at a hoppy imperial flanders red out of the water.

Some of the flavors of the day while watching my fantasy players take a dump on the field; Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barlewine with a '07 Boli cj(Thanks JB!), after a Casa Fuente cg(Thanks Trev!). At least the flavors were really good.

Some beers from last week. The Mikkeller tasted burnt. That's the 2nd different type of bourbon barrel aged beer from them that I've got the burnt flavor.

I also wanted the Brux to be more sour. Was gonna stock up on it for aging, but just dont see the potential others are talking about!

Had a 21st Amendment Bitter American out of a can. Good session beer. Only 42 ibus I believe but comes across much more bitter due to the malt body. Pleasantly so. And I don't dig a whole lot of 21st Amendment.

Had these yesterday:

Timberbeast is a Rye IPA from Mississippi's first brewery and it's pretty damn good! MOA was alright, nothing special.
Dark Dark Goose by B. Nektar was fantastic! I can't say enough great things about it. A coffee mead aged in bourbon barrels and then aged in a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout barrel.
