Joel that looks amazing, it called for Granny Smith apples, did you use them or another type, if you use granny's did it lend any of that tartness?

We used HoneyCrisp this time - next time, I'll add bacon.

This was super easy to make, with homemade whipped cream. It would be great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a big fat N-filled cigar. Woof! You'll be fllyyyyyyin!

Funny that you use Honeycrisp. I won't let the wife use them because I love to eat them so much. I make her buy Granny Smith for pies and such when we are out of season. We have 4 apple trees right now and 1 is a Honeycrisp but we are a few years from getting a crop on that tree.
