I glance at the ratings, but never buy anything based on them. I subscribe to CA for the occasional good feature article and the cool ads (I like to gaze at all the high-dollar shit I can't afford :)).

They listed the Tatuaje 2012 with the Broadleaf. I like that version, reminded me of the TAA 2011/2012, but the Cojonu wasn't as balanced a profile as the TAA versions. I actually preferred the Sumatra. I was trying to figure out how to take a poll on this site as to which of the 2012 Cojonu's people liked the best.

Also I think the people who have had LATs and like them will be safe, don't think it will be #1. As I would find it hard for CA to put Pete in the top 10 twice.

I agree that the Melanio is the likely number one. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I thought the Romeo was just awful.. I can't understand how that one made the list at all.

Flor de las Antillas is number 1???? Alright CA whatever you say
I already have a box of these resting that I got a while back, although I'm not sure it's the same size. I think it's a nice smoke... maybe not #1 cigar of the year though.

Funny, this was actually one I listed in the worst cigar of the year thread, although I'd probably classify it as biggest disappointment as it wasn't horrible, just a big disappointment considering how much I love a lot of the stuff that comes from that factory.

Another year, another list.

Big congrats to Jaime, Pepin, Janny and the whole My Father Factory. Like most, I never would have guessed that one. 2 years in a row they have come out of left field with the #1.

It's an interesting choice. Definitely a good smoke, top 25 sure, the best smoke of 2012, I personally say not. My Father deserves recognition, they make excellent cigars.
