Top three artists I play at my shop are Howlin Wolf, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Little Feat. I throw in a lot of The Band, some Dylan, some Steely Dan, and a lotta other blues artists like JD Short, Koko Taylor, Mississippi John Hurt, Paul Butterfield, John Hammond, etc etc

You could always have themed days. Doom metal Domingo, Metallica Monday, thrash Tuesday, weed metal Wednesday, heavy metal jueves, fuck you you don't like my music listen to your headphones Friday, and black Sabbath Saturday.

My smoking jams usually consist of:
Gary Clark Jr (a current fav)
Black keys/Dan Aurbach
Widespread panic (live/covers)
Deep purple, Cream, CCR, Who..
Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, BB King..
Anything live and bluesy from the Stones, Zeppelin, Beatles..
Some Floyd, Zappa, and a touch of ELO for good measure..
But, I guess that's more of a Roadhouse playlist
Occasionally stuff like Galactic, Trombone Shorty, Dirty Dozen Brass..
Or jazzy, like Miles Davis, Armstrong, and some Coltrane..
But I'd consider both the latter to be more for headphones
