I have never even seen the 120 minute in a beverage center here in NY. I saw it was released back in June so Id imagine this years batch is probably gone but is there any chance Ill be able to find this anywhere or will I have to wait until next year?

Help me craft brew nuts!

They did 3 small batches this time instead of one large one. The first was bottles, the second was kegged and the third hasnt been released to my knowledge. I am heading to the brewery tomorrow and will be sure to ask.

Thanks for the information gents. I actually prefer the 60 minute to the 90 minute so Im somewhat worried about not liking the 120 minute. Firestones Double Jack is the best IPA Ive personally had.

A batch is en route to wholesalers now, should be on shelves in the next 2-3 weeks.
Yeah, I forgot about this thread. While at DFH on Friday I enjoyed several 120 drafts but there were no bottles available, meaning I missed it by what 3 days? LOL So sad to see cases and cases (and cases) of 120 packed up ready to go and not be able to buy any.

Hopefully the distributer that guaranteed me a case sticks to their word.

How do you feel about the price tag Justin? I know MSRP for 4 packs is $30 and Im about 99% sure it cant really be THAT good. Yet Im still going to bust my ass to find at least 1 case.

1 case or 1 4 pack?

I really like it, its not something you can drink a ton of though. I was looking forward to cellaring some for a couple of years.

As for price, 7.50 per bottle isnt too expensive. I wish it was cheaper but I think it is priced right, especially after hearing the amount of work that goes into each batch.

Whether or not the beer tastes as good as one hopes, the material expenditure to produce a beer of this alcohol level is huge. It takes TONS of yeast, malt and additional sugar to get 18% abv. Plus the occasional off batch that probably turns into a dumper. It is not easy to brew beers like this so at $8 a bottle its reasonable.

Thanks for the crash course, I knew it was very expensive to make but $8.50 per 12 ounces was more than I was expecting considering thats almost how much a 4 pack of the 90 minute goes for. I thought it'd be under $20 per 4 pack but Ill still get it anyways if I find it.

Definitely a great beer if you can find it. I was lucky to find some when it was released earlier in the year. Great one to share with buddies!

This is not a beer you drink alone, even one bottle will put you on your backside. This is for sharing with friends. So finding one or two bottles is plenty. Your odds of procuring a case are slim to none. Many places I've seen don't even sell the 4 pack, they sell the individual bottles because if they are lucky, they get 1 case for the entire store.

I've never had the 120 minute IPA but I just got back from the beer store and they had Founders Devil Dancer. Has anyone tried this beer? The store was selling singles for $4.99.

The beer comes in at 12abv and I grabbed this off of beeradvocate "Dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties.
112 actual IBU; although it calculates to over 200!"

If it was crazy rare or the price was good I might go back and try a few.

Thanks

Actually, I just found this cool Founders brew availablity calander(http://www.foundersbrewing.com/wp-content/uploads/the-lineup/beer_calendar.jpg) and it appears Devil Dancer is brewed once a year in July.

I might have to give it a try before its gone.
