Anyone ready for the new F1 season?!

Honda is no longer, its now Brawn GP (Mercedes powerplant).
McLaren is having trouble with the new MP4-24
Ferrari is lame :innocent:
BMW looks good
STR looks promising

I CAN'T wait. This season is going to be so exciting!

I'm stoked for F1. I'm a sauber fan.
Sorry to hear that..:stretchgr

Just kidding! Its going to be a great year. Just hope McLaren irons out their aero problems sooner than later. I have a feeling though they are well under way just aren't letting anyone know.

All is going to be interesting with the intro of KERS.

You've got me all wrong, I just really like the sport. I mean is it not fun to throw a little elbow grease around? All in good fun I assure you, although I could say there is no room in competition for friendship.

BMW Sauber is a great rival, no questions about that. Good drivers great; relaible, cars.

Ah the sound of an F1 engine....something to truly be heard live at the track. With earplugs of course.

I too am a McLaren fan but BMW Sauber, Renault and Toyota could be a challenge this year. Good luck to Bourdais and Vettel this year.

OK, two threads in half an hour asking questions that I have no concept of. Time to go to bed.

I do miss the US Grand Prix F1 race in Indianapolis, although the 2005 race may be the worst race ever held. I only attended the actual race once while it was still being held (2000-07), but the sound of those cars was amazing.

I follow formula 1 on and off season (it's an illness really)
mclaren are always my favorite... but it seems like they might have trouble in the first race cause of aero problems...
I cheer for the Brazilians since it's my mother land (except for Massa, he lost because of impatience and stupid mistakes. I hope his season goes horribly wrong, not to mention Ferrari get's away with way too much bullshit that they pull)
Brawn GP seem to be the one to look out for (at least till other teams learn how to deal with a way superior car on the grid.... Let's go Rubinho.
Cant wait till practice starts (very early AM my time zone)

Oh, and I'm really upset that the season will no longer end at Interlagos. I planned on being there this year.

I've been to Montreal (too many times to count), Indy and Monaco. Indy sucked but Monaco was simply fantastic. Truly a playground for the rich and famous and the women on race weekend :inlove: My girlfriend at the time suddenly understood the attraction to F1 :bouncetau

Now in the olden days, we would show up to the Montreal race weekend early. Not only did that allow us to wonder the pits (without press badge-hospitality tents and badges help) and get all the familiar autographs, etc. We were also able to bring our own (read:modified M3s and VWs) cars on the track and race around for a few laps. Doing that gives you a true appreciation of the drivers skill given the g-loads and speeds they experience. I did the same in Monaco although after the race in a rental 16v Renault Clio and some of the roads were one-ways in the wrong direction. I did however speed through the tunnel under the casino...at 1/4th the speed of course. Fun nonetheless

My parents where in Monaco last year, and my dad did the circuit as well, but backwards, because as you mentioned, some of the streets are one way the opposite of the race track. It really makes you wonder how these guys do it... Passing on those ridiculously narrow streets.

if anyone is as sick as me about F1, they are watching the live feed (little black screen with numbers... no pictures) and im actually not surprised at all about how both Brawn GP drivers are in 3rd and 4th, behind Kimmi in a Ferrari, and Rosberg.
The Brawn GP car seems good as of now. Practice 2 will be broadcasting live in a few hours... Can't wait.

Oh man, i was a hell lot more of a fan when Juan Pablo Montoya was racing in F1. I actually went to the Grandprix in Monaco in 2004. The sounds and the smells!! OMG!
Ok, can't wait for the season to start again. My dad and i will be all over the TV.

Danilo: It's so true that it get's you nuts when you drive there. We also did the same.

Yeah! Brawn GP is the wild card, who would have thought? I guess you could expect that since they're using Mercedes powerplants. I still have plenty of hope for the silver arrows.

Massa is losing his mind. Did anyone catch the article about how he wanted to construct a points system for the test laps?!? His ego must be down from last year, and he must be trying to earn anything he can. That guy's a nut.

For sure this year is going to be crazy and one of the most intense.

Look out for Button!

Massa is out of his mind. He's impatient, and that lead to him making stupid mistakes last year. If he can get his act together, he might be able to do something. If Kimmi can be near the top of the time sheets, with the same car, than Massa should not be at the bottom of the time sheets, and that goes to Hamilton compared to his less experienced team mate.
