Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I think guys should do what they are comfortable doing. You bring up a good point though. In addition to paying for drinks, Joe may charge a $10 cutting fee. I would think that guys will buy something considering we are going to have the use of the entire basement for 4+ hours. Some cigars and drinks, even if it's soda, would certainly be in order. I have bought cigars there with absolutely no intention of smoking them. You know me, I'm a cigar snob!! But I don't feel right going to a smoke shop or bar without buying some stuff. I feel pretty sure the rest of us feel the same way. But I don't think guys should feel compelled to pay the $33 bucks if they feel sure they are going to drink 1 or 2 sodas. I just strongly urge them to buy some smokes.(beverage package) i think would be anything you can drink in the place not just suds.
Its $33 dollars !!
Let's support HD as they are going out of there way to make it cheap for 4 + hours for us its a no brainier plus places like HD are far and few.
Do this anywhere else and you will be paying a lot more.
Make this easy on Kevin and everyone make this a team effort hey I wont be drinking that much but I am still paying because I am doing it in respect for Kevin (organizing) and HD for there hospitality.
Old, moldy dog rockets!!!What kind of cigars will people be packing?
I agree with both of them, Havana Dreams is a great place. An oasis in this day of No Smoking fascism, they can only exist with the support of their customers. $33 dollars for an exclusive party is not a bad price, I don't see what the problem is.I agree with Jimmy.
33 for hanging out 4+ hours is good deal.
I will try to make it, unfortunately I'm not able to commit at this point. I've been battling a nasty cold for the past few days that has forced me cancel some commitments through last week, and I will now have to get caught up before I can go out and play. Are you coming to the herf fishhound?
Looks like the closest is the E or F to 63 Drive - Rego Park
Myself. I didn't feel like editing so I just kept responding!Tom, who are you talking to?
Thanks for the info! I'll shoot you a PM. It will be myself and another buddy. You can take the v/r to woodhaven.
I would take the recomendation of the e/f to 71st or the v/r to 63 rd.
Both of these will end up on queens blvd.
Then you have a few options.
1) You can take a cab, which will be probalby 6-8 dollars from there to Havanna's.
2) You can walk.... yeah right.
3) If you time it right, I can pick you up since I live right near there, if you PM i'll get you my number, and we can work it out.
4) There is some bus on woodhaven, but I am not familaiar with the buses.
Pretty sure you would get a ticket if you drive like that in the manhatten and queens.I'm picking up Josh at Penn Station, but I have a truck, otherwise I'd grab you two too. Unless you want to ride in the back, hillbilly style
