2005 BoY
That is an interesting approach. $10 per cigar? How would he track that?I finally got through to Joe after 2 days of playing phone tag! Here is the deal for the guys that don't want to use the beverage package, which includes beer, wine and soda. If you don't want the beverage package, Joe is going to charge a $10 cutting fee per each cigar you smoke. To be honest, I think this is reasonable as he is supplying the place for us to smoke that will be ours exclusively. Heck I think I dropped a hundred bucks at the last herf I went to for booze and food alone, and that wasn't in a room that was just for us.
Anyway, that's the deal and most of us are going to use the package anyway. Looks like there will be at least 10 of us, could be 15.
Start packing the smokes boys!!!!
Considering those drinking mixed drinks or straight liquor are supporting their ability to smoke in the establishment by buying mixed drinks or straight liquor from the bar, requiring those folks to pay $30 for unlimited beer, wine, and soda in addition to what they would already be buying seems strange. We all know everyone is going to smoke more then 3 cigars. Besides the fact that only charging $30 for the beer and wine is a steal on it's own.
Might as well buy the package regardless of what you are drinking.
I'm no trying to start an argument or anything and the guy is free to run his business the way he wants I just felt like commenting on how it is an interesting approach.
